This spoon is brilliant for serving any jams, chutneys or preserves straight from the jar. It has a long handle, suitable to fit in most bottles, and the kink in the handle allows the spoon to be hooked onto the rim of the jar without it slipping inside. This prevents sticky fingers and wasted jam.

I keep a mug next to my Keurig coffee maker to hold stirring spoons. This one perches on the edge of the mug and the bowl of the spoon does not touch the bottom, so the inevitable drops left on the spoon after stirring my coffee fall into the mug yet the spoon doesn't sit in the liquid. It balances very nicely and shows no tendency to flip out of the mug, even when my sleep-clumsy hand gropes for it in the morning. I'm getting a couple more to hang in my jam jars next to the toaster.
