Despite mixed reviews, I purchased this product for making my own wall decals. While I have yet to attempt to put the decals on the wall, I wanted to clear up any misinformation. First, there is a front and back to these. If you haven't developed enough problem solving skills to peel an edge to figure out which side is sticky so that you know which way to put it in your printer...look for the matte side (this is the side you want to print on). Second, this fed perfectly and without issue through my HP deskjet. I will go on to specify that this particular printer has a vertical paper feed. Last, no special ink was used and the printing did not rub/smear/distort/etc... The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review is the fact that I have not tested the adhesiveness.

If you are looking for ink jet vinyl labe this is a great product. Keep in mind that most ink jet ink in not water proof, so you need a clear sheet over this to get something that will hold up to damp conditions.

It took me about 5 tries to get a piece of this material to feed through an Epson Artisan 830 printer. The backing is rather thick and stiff -- probably necessary to keep the vinyl dimensionally stable -- and the back side (where the printer's feed rollers make contact) is fairly smooth compared to many papers. What finally worked was to gently curl the leading edge of the material to match the curve on the back of the paper tray and move the back guide in from the normal 11" to about 10.5". This sort of fussing is okay for me just printing out some stickers for the lid of my spare notebook computer, but it suggests that you might want to look at other options for production use.

I am happy with the saturation of color on those stickers and they still look decent after a week kicking around in my bag rubbing up against textbooks. I did not remember to put any sort of top-coat or spray fixative on them before I cut them out. The finish is decidedly matte, but they don't look out-of-place with some commercially printed stickers.

A stack of 10 sheets of this material -- both the vinyl and the backing together -- measures 0.1215". A stack of 10 pieces of the vinyl alone measures 0.0650"; 10 pieces of the backing measures 0.0520. (My micrometer's resolution is only to half a thousandth [0.0005"]; it claims accuracy to 0.001"; the measurements did repeat exactly. Not sure where the missing 0.0045 went.) Dividing by 10 suggests that the vinyl itself is somewhere in the range from 6mil to 8mil, nowhere near the 15mil advertised. A mil is 0.001".

That stack of 10 pieces of vinyl does measure 1.55mm, so if they though a mil was a hundredth of a millimeter, that would be about right. But that's not how mil is defined.

Amazon jammed the 9-5/8x12-1/8 mailing envelope in which these are packed into a too-small box, crimping the envelope in its middle. Fortunately, the sheets themselves were undamaged.

I purchased this set for one purpose, to print planner stickers for my Happy Planner. Boy do these work well. I print them on a Brother color laser printer snd use a Sillouette Cameo to cut stickers out and the labels hold up great to both the ink and the cutting. I really like the fact that the stickers come up from the paper fairly easily if they need to be arranged. One thing I would recommed though is if you are going to write on these to use a ball point pen or a sharpie like marker to see what you are writing better.

The main idea when purchasing such paper sheets, is to print own stickers/labels, that look like professionally manufactured ones. While durability/strength/overall quality of these sheets is OK, it's appearance is NOT ok. It is not glossy as you should expect, but it's quite matte, vinyl is coated with special material, on which you'll print using your printer. So, if you need, glossy, factory-like vinyl labels, search for another material.

Pros:
-Feeds through my Epson printer well, provided you only insert ONE SHEET AT A TIME into the printer feed tray
-Print quality is good, provided printer is set on BEST QUALITY (standard quality yeilds poor looking finished product)

Cons:
-I have to question if this is actually 15 mil stock.... compared to other 15 mil vinyl I've used, this seems thinner and lighter.
-Very difficult to figure out which side is vinyl and which side is the backing. The backing does have a SLIGHT bit more sheen to it, but personally I had to peel the corner of each sheet to ensure I knew which side to print on. (all other vinyl of this type I've used has a watermark on the backing, which makes it easy to determine which side to print on.
-Sometimes difficult to apply.....if you cut out your image, and have any sharp angles, it makes the backing difficult to peel.... the backing paper wants to tear, leaving small strips of backing behind, and is VERY difficult to get off when appling the finished product to a surface.

Recommendation: This material works, but its not the best quality.....if you want the best quality vinyl, that is easy to work with, check out "Sticky Fingers" on Ebay. For the money, their product is MUCH better.

I am impressed with the performance of this product. The ink from my color laser printer lays down smooth and clear. The material is easy to trim to the size and shapes I need. It adheres to cardboard, wood and metal and held up well even when it got wet (the cardboard didn't fare so well though).
