My Miniature Schnauzer tore up this chicken and rice. She literally licked the bowl clean. Of course this was after already eating some of her other food.

She licked the bowl on the Beef and Rice too. The Beef is more gravy like with a lot of beef included. The Chicken is more pasty like so it can go longer by separating it into thirds (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

I got this primarily for our 14 year old Walker Coon Hound to add to his organic Chicken & Rice dry food now that his teeth are starting to get weaker and he's just "at that age". It's just time. I did add it to the other 5 dogs' meals as well for a week test run. The senior dog likes it alot and he wolfs down his food with this Pro Plan added (he wasn't eating poorly before though). He has had no stomach upset or digestion issues from it and no signs of ingredient allergies, so those are definite pluses. We'll probably keep him on it for a bit, but not permanently - his regular diet is a specialty custom blend with low salt, no wheat, corn, or soy in a senior blend, so this stuff adds some of those things.

The reason for the one star deduction - all five of the other dogs had very unpleasant gas from this dog food added in with their dry food & water. Our organic dry food is really top notch and when I say they rarely have flatulence, I mean RARELY and we're talking about 6 large dogs living inside. I don't know what the reason is, but all of the younger dogs (ages 10 to 6 years) experienced this problem, so we will be passing on it. No diarrhea or vomiting, nothing like that at all. Overall this is a decent enough grocery store canned food and far less expensive than the other brands with similar ingredients etc.

I had to give it 4 starts out of 5 since which is due to Amazon or whom ever shipped the product, I order two cases at the same time and over 6 of the cans were either heavily dented or out right broken open. Which cause a mess inside the box and the packaging. I have only order one case before and that was better shipped.

Our newly adopted Australian Cattle Dog, Ralphie, loves the Pro Plan Wet Dog Food. His foster mom told me she had been feeding him chicken and brown rice by Purina. And then suggested I also get Pro Plan Savor dry food, also the chicken and rice. So I jumped to Amazon, and when I saw it was Amazon Prime, I ordered both. They exactly as promised. Our former Australian Cattle Dog was 17 when he passed. I believe he lived as long as he did because of great care and Purina. I have never had to worry about poisoned dog food. You can't beat great nutrition.

This is the first time I have tried Purina Pro Plan wet dog food... but saw it was a good price here at Amazon and ordered some. I find it is easier for me to order on line than to go to the store and buy the wet dog food and have to load and unload it into a shopping cart, then the checkout.., then into the car.. then back out of the car and into the house....so home delivery is great.. right to my door.

My dogs are so spoiled and so picky .. and I tend to rotate between two other major brands of dog food... but decided to just give this Pro Plan a try...now mind you my dogs are never really hungry.. they each have a bowl of dry dog sitting out for them at all times .. and then every morning they get a bowl of wet dog food with maybe a few things extra that I add to it.

From past experience sometimes when I try a new dog food, they will simply turn their spoiled little noses up and walk away from it.... but..... not with this ProPlan.. .they both actually cleaned their bowls up, which is pretty rare as they usually just nibble and eat on the wet dog food all day long. I actually heard their dog dishes being scooted across the floor as they made sure they got it all out of the bowl.

I am getting ready to order another case of it just to make sure I have it on hand. It is winter here in michigan and I always stock up on dog food and such in the winter as I can't always get to the store.

So.. a big thumbs up from me.. if my dogs like it.. then I am happy with it!.. five stars

This is the food my dog eats anyway so I signed up for automatic delivery. Even though the shipping was free, I felt the price was too high since I can often find it on sale nearby. I have three dogs, all under 15 pounds. I typically feed them the grain-free food by Wellness. But I know that rice is fine for dogs and doesn't cause digestive issues, so I had no problem with that as a grain here.

My dogs love the flavor. There is very little they refuse though, making their opinion somewhat irrelevant. None of them seem to have any digestive complications from the switch in foods. And I haven't noticed any of them needing or wanting to eat more or less of their dry food to compensate.

The one drawback for me with this food is that it includes "meat byproducts". (Essentially the garbage left over after an animal has been slaughtered.) That's usually a deal breaker for me, though I didn't notice that as part of the ingredients because I got this through the Vine program. Because of the byproducts, I will not purchase this for my dogs in the future. In fairness, if you're not bothered by the meat byproducts issue, this food is otherwise fine.
