Product Description

I have been a caretaker in the past, so I know a little about the psychological dilemma of loyalty and wanting to leave the situation. I also understand what it's like to feel unfulfilled in relationships. I did not set out to write a story based on those themes, but when the words coming home tomorrow popped into my head (not sure why) the question what if it was a lover who had been unfaithful or someone from an requited love affair was in the hospital and coming home to recuperate? What would be my role in this person's care? So Coming Home Tomorrow wrote itself.

About the Author

Charles W. Harvey has been writing since middle school. He always knew he wanted to write a book. His plan was to have a successful career in some field, and then retire to write. In 1984 after college and to deal with the issue of self-fulfillment he took a creative writing class at the University of Houston. Rosellen Brown (Tender Mercies) was his instructor. He was very successful and Rosellen was very encouraging. This class released a floodgate of creativity. He wrote and had produced two plays (The Ladies and the Iron Ball and The Lifeline) produced at Kuumba House Theatre in Houston. In 1986 he was 2nd Runner Up in PEN/Southwest for Fiction. In 1987 He was a first place winner in PEN/Southwest for his story Cheeseburger. This story went on to appear in the Ontario Review. In the mid nineties his story When Dogs Bark made the rounds in several anthologies—Shade and High Infidelity to name a few. His stories and poetry have appeared in various online ezines such as Newversenews.com and Velvet Mafia. In 2000 he published through iUniverse his anthology of poetry and stories entitled When Dogs Bark. He is currently at work on two novels, 2 poetry chapbooks, and a screenplay as time and the muse permits. He lives in Houston, Texas.
