There is a lot of tubing - 40', and in a variety of sizes. However, the sizes indicated are a little misleading in reference to standard cylinder/pipe/tube sizing. I knew this would be thin wall, and aware of its shrink ratio, but I needed a one inch tubing. I figured I would just stock the rest for other projects. The 1" and other sizes the description refers to is actually half of the circumference (pressed flat and measured across the width- it is not a 1" diameter measurement, it is actually less than 7/8" in diameter. So I did find some other tubing with a true as described 1" diameter. Now I have a bit more to stock for another project. And chalk these up as knowledge learned. They do work properly and at a fair price at .30¢ a foot. Just be aware of the non-standard size if it is essential.

I guess you really do what get what you pay for sometimes. This bundle sounded like exactly what I needed. What I got was a lot of very small tubing and only a few larger ones and all of them are the absolutely cheapest quality heat shrink wrap that you can possibly find. I used it once and then tossed the remainder because it is basically garbage. I can shrink wrap cabling better using a plastic garbage bag.

I picked up this pack of heat-shrink tubing to wrap larger wire bundles and connectors. It seems to work fine, and it's thick enough to provide good protection without being too thick or bulky. The variety of sizes is good, and the long pieces give you the ability to choose exactly how much you need for the job.

Its heat shrink tubing. you heat it and it shrinks.
I used it to hold the case of the bluetooth locator together after my cat removed "that annoying plastic thing" from her collar with her teeth.
And, by using a bit longer piece of tubing I was able to sow it flush to her collar and keep it from annoying her so much.
Works well good stuff.

This is a nice kit for the price and the cost is very good compared to other outlets. This comes bundled and all rolled together in a plastic bag. The only ding on the star rating is for the fact that there was a staple holding it all together and because of where it was stapled, it rendered a few inches of one and different amounts of others unusable. I really don't even know why it is stapled as it is bagged well. Still a good deal.

...made this purchase to outfit myself with a stock that I will be ready to use as needed. I my experience, buy the bigger sizes of the good heat-shrink is preferable to buy a host of NOT-so-useful small sizes of heat shrink. As long as it REALLY shrinks down, that's all that you really need. The good stuff will usually shrink like crazy. We will see if this product fares, and I'll make another post.

Last winter the ice split a willow tree on the edge of our property and the limb sheared off and landed like a javelin right on top of our invisible fence wire. It's not enough to splice the wire, it has to be weather proof. The smallest size in this pack is just right for the project after you cover the soldered splice with silicon or shoe goo. I'm happy to have the surplus tubing around for more home repairs. Heat shrinkable tubing ranks right up there with duct tape and WD40 for improvising solutions. In the words of the immortal Red Green, "This is just temporary... unless it works."
