This shoe rack did not even last for 3 weeks and it was a pain from the beginning. DURABLE????? NO WAYY!!!! The hooks that go over the door are metal but the loops that the hooks go into are PLASTIC and it just completely snapped one day. I didn't double up shoes in the slots and there were a lot of flip flops in it and how heavy are they? Don't waste your money on this product it is not durable at all. Get one with metal hooks and metal loops. I wish I could get my money back!

There are three pieces at work here. The metal hooks that go over the door, the canvas eyelets that hold the entire canvas part below, and the plastic rings that connect the hooks with the eyelets. Those plastic rings snapped off within one day of loading the organizer half-full. I jerry rigged it so the eyelets now hang directly on the hooks. However, this strains the eyelets since they are twisted 90 degrees from their normal orientation. It's anyone guess how long this thing will last. Also the sticky tabs that are meant to keep the organizer stuck to the door are useless. Don't even put them on the door when you get the product. I'll keep using it until it falls, but I would be happier spending more for something that was tested by someone somewhere. This was never tested.

The organizer is designed to hang on the door with two hooks, and stabilized by 4 pieces of velcro tapes stick to the door at the middle and bottom.

Pro: big capacity. I was able to take most of my shoes out of storage. No more shoe searching in shoe boxes. I have filled in 75% of the pockets, and it seems holding up well. But my shoes are of smaller size (5.5), thus relatively lighter.

Con: suboptimal design, flimsy materials.
1. the two hooks are designed for much thicker doors. Even though my door is of standard thickness, I still have 1/4 inch gap between the door and one side of the hooks. I may cut two pieces of eraser to fill in this gap.
2. the hooks only have 1" on the back side of the door (suppose the organizer is hanging the front side). Another hanging on the door shoe organizer I got from walmart has 2" on the back side of the door, which make the walmart organizer much more stable.
3. The door velcro tapes are attached to the door by some glue/double-sided tape. When I adjust these piece, some paint came of with it. In hindsight, I should have used tags instead of these velcro pieces. I'd rather have barely noticable holes on the door than peeled of paint.
4. Small pockets: each pocket is almost 8" long, 3.5" high, and 7" wide. My flats can fit in the pockets fine, but sneakers and clogs need some effort. I also have to alternate the flat shoes and clogs/sneakers in the pockets for easier retrieval and insertion. I don't like the heels dangling outside the pocket. It makes the shoes below them difficult to access. I managed to put them sideways, but I don't think this solution will work for longer shoes. I personally think shoes of larger sizes are going to have a difficult time fitting inside these pockets, not impossibly though.Read more ›

This is one of the highest capacity shoe racks that fits over a door. However, you can't really fit 30 pairs of shoes in it. Depending on the type of shoe (sneakers, wedges or platforms, for instance), in some cases only one of your shoes will fit in the hole. Also, the slots for the shoes are very short- they are designed for the back of the shoe to hang out, but again, depending on the shoe, sometimes more than just the back hangs out, and the shoes fall out when you open or close the door. Since the shoes hang out, heals will hang down and cover the opening to the slot under it, so you may not be able to fit any shoes in the slot below.
I've still been trying to pack plenty of shoes into it, and after a few months it is starting to come apart at the top, but it hasn't completely given in yet.

I purchased 2 of these, one for me and one for my mom. Both of our plastic hooks broke, and neither shoe organizer was full. I rated this product with 1 star because of the work I put into placing my shoes, then having to dump them out after they fell, and finally making space and storing them nicely somewhere else. Now, I must also arrange for the items to be returned. What a headache! I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

I was so excited to finally have my heels out in plain sight...until I noticed the plastic hooks and shabby stitching that held the shoe holder together. Needless to say, after 2 weeks, the plastic hook on the left side broke through and popped off. The stitching holding the right hook in place came off entirely. What at first was a wonderful solution ends up being a disappointment that I now have to replace.

Unless you have nothing but flip flops or sandals, DO NOT BUY! It is cheaply made and there is not enough room in the slots to hold a pair of shoes. So I have 1 shoe in each slot...crazy! It takes up alot of room behind your door and the door becomes hard to close! Not a good price for the product that you get!!!

Don't waste your money on this. First of all, the pockets are way too short. I wear a size 6 1/2 shoe, and I had a hard time getting my high heel shoes to stay in the pockets because they stuck out past the end and would fall out. After I finally managed to fill all the pockets, I closed the closet door. Two days later, I found the whole thing on the floor. There are little rings at the top that hook onto the brackets that hang over the door. There are only two of them, which likely was not enough to support something that holds this many shoes, and they are also flimsy, and so they stretched out and broke, and the whole thing came crashing down.
