Product overall is very good:

1) can take multiple users
2) has very good, detailed reporting
3) it does work on vista, regardless of what the other review says. i have been using it for 3 weeks now and downloading to vista almost every day.

I have great confidence that this product accurately measures desaturation events. If you have sleep apnea, I feel this is a very reliable tool to help you calibrate your CPAP.

HOWEVER,

1) It is expensive. You can find a recording oximeter for less if you shop around, but it wont be as small as this one and wont fit on your wrist.
2) the amount of hours advertising says it records is misleading - it depends on the recording frequency setting you select (its not clear that you would ever want to select the setting that gets you to the maximium recording time, but the good news is you can simply download the data and clear the memory every few nights.)
2) the battery does not last nearly as long as advertised. Says 300 hours. Its more like half that. its a special battery, but you can buy it on amazon for much less than other places (less than $10)

I like the product very much, but felt I paid more than I should have for it. I dont like the battery.

will not work on vista! will not export to XL or any other file type. you can only save files in the proprietary format of the "3rd party" software. someone else would have to have the vitascore software to read the report generated by this device. the company, SPO, considers the software to be somewhat outside their range of responsibility as "third party" however the recordings may only be read by this one program group(vitabase and vitascore) which are around half of the $400 price. the software is a little buggy and the documentation is lite. it was sombodys idea to save paper by reducing the instructions to 1/4 size to better fit in the box. some text is so small as to be a challenge to read without a magnifying glass. the phone support is polite and available, usually without holding time. i'm certain that if there was a problem that could be repaired they would not hesitate to help. otherwise - so far so good.
