When blending your "fat" into the flour it needs to be somewhat soft or this will bend the blender and then you have to bend it back into shape. Other than that it works very good, I am amazed that after only a few strokes all is blended well. It comes clean easily so I'll just make sure the butter, coconut oil or whatever I use is not hard out of the fridge. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be anyway.
Also, I chose a removable handle so that someday if it breaks we can replace the handle easy with a piece of wood or something but doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon. I just had to tighten the screw when it got here since the handle would move on me but it has stayed tight without further adjustments.

Before I bought this item I was using a pastry blender with wires rather than real blades. This one is so much better! The blades don't bend or warp like the wires do and it is very sturdy even when used on butter straight out of the fridge. I also have had problems in the past with the screws on the handle of my pastry blender loosening as I use it. This causes the handle to spin and makes it much less functional. However with this Norpro item I have not had to tighten the screws even once.
