Probiotic bacteria supplements are very popular, and for good reason. "Good bugs from yogurt" were considered a solution to digestive issues like irregularity and nothing more. But we now know that the gut health and the collection of healthy bacteria in our gut (called microbiome or gut flora) play key roles in several seemingly unrelated chronic diseases like obesity, allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, and depression.

Some specific types of probiotic bacteria strongly influence our mood - they help produce most of the neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine in the gut.

Other probiotic strains have been shown to reduce cholesterol. And yet others help ease colic in newborns.

We all have unique blends of probiotics in our guts. We get them from our mothers during birth and then through breastfeeding. After that, we get more from the environment (mostly dirt). By age three, our probiotic fingerprints are established.

Children born via C-section, then fed formula, or given antibiotics, and raised in ultra clean homes have poor gut bacterial diversity. This can cause several lifelong health issues like allergies, asthma, skin disorders, obesity, and even autism.

I like the product because my gut has no problem since using it. The reason that I give only 3-stars because every time I count the number of Vcaps in the bottle is only 26 or 28, supposely 30 per bottle label. This happens 4-months in the row since I am a monthly subscriber. I believe that the manufacturer did it with a good reason...HIGHER $ PROFIT! Amazon should reflect this complaint to the manufacturer company, otherwise Amazon's reputation would be hurt badly. Other consumers should verify the quantity after you receive/open the bottle.

I suffered from IBS - abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation - for four years. I took this probiotic (and then after that, the 200 billion one) for a month and I was completely back to normal! I didn't know what was wrong with me, and I had been on various medications that didn't do much (even antidepressants). But finally my doctor insisted that my only option left was probiotics. I had tried them before (several years back) but they had no effect. I had just taken the normal 1 or 2 billion CFU capsules. So I figured I might as well go big or go home, and I gave this one a try. Now I literally owe my life and happiness to these guys. I feel like sending them a $10,000 check! (would if I had the money). I hope some other people with IBS at least give this a try. I think IBS is caused by too many bad bacteria in the gut and not enough good. Its like warfare in there, you can't go to war with 100 soldiers. You have to have an army. There's no downsides to taking too much probiotics as far as I know, so don't cheap out like I did before and get wimpy 1 billion capsules.

My doctor prescribed Nystatin, but I couldn't stand the taste. The owner of our local natural store recommended this product. It cleared up my oral thrush within 3-4 days. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have crohns disease and my doctor always suggests being on a strong probiotic. This product helps me from feeling bloated and keeps things moving easily. I notice a big difference when I forget to take it. I tried switching to a cheaper brand but it just didn't cut it.

Just started using yesterday. My complaint they put the Amazon info scan sticker over the information for the product! Product did not come in a box, just a bottle. Tried to peel off the sticker and removed the information label. There is also masking tape on part of the bottle (to cover UPC code) which also covers more information! There's a space on the bottle they could have put the scan label.
