Of all the Aloe gel we have tried, this is the best! My family went on vacation and my husband got a horrible sunburn! We bought this at the hotel gift shop and lathered it on 3 times/day. He never peeled! Once we discovered it, we now buy it on Amazon and never leave home without it. I haven't seen it anywhere else, so thanks to Amazon for carrying it. It feels good when it goes on. It doesn't feel sticky and dries quickly. Get the Green Stuff! It works!

This aloe vera gel will definitely soothe and moisturize irritated, overexposed skin if you can't get your hands on anything else, but there are better aloe vera products out there. This Aloe Gator product has a thinner, looser consistency than other aloe gels I have used (due to the added ingredients) and the green coloring and added fragrance are hard to get past. The fragrance smells strongly of baby powder and doesn't really complement the product. When you think of putting on aloe vera gel, you expect to smell something fresh and clean. The baby powder scent is the opposite of fresh and clean and the company would do well to remove it along with the green coloring.

Here is a complete list of the ingredients from the back of the bottle: 99.5% Aloe Vera Gel, Purified Water, Allantoin, Glycereth 26, PEG 40 Castor Oil, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Fragrance, Magnesium Chloride, Methylparaben, Carbomer 940, Triethanolamine, DMDM Hydantion, Imidiazolidinyl Urea, Polysorbate 80, FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Blue #1

The company advertises on the front of the bottle that it contains 99.5% pure aloe vera gel, but you can see from the ingredients list that they started with 99.5% pure aloe vera gel and then added a bunch of stuff to it, so the final green concoction is likely not 99.5% pure. Some of the added ingredients are preservatives that most aloe vera gels contain to keep the gel from spoiling without refrigeration, but this gel seems to have a lot of stuff in it and I find myself asking, "Are all of these chemicals really necessary?Read more ›

I use it to lighten skin in area darkened by scratching and scraps. I use it on my face to lighten sun damage.

Aloe vera is a great all purpose moisturizer. It dries fast and doesn't feel sticky.

I have tried all of the after too much sun products and this one is the best. Besides the aloe vera it has some special additives which make this the one to get to avoid peeling. It just seems to work better than the others. You won't regret having this in your summer bag for those days you over expose.

Great Stuff. I live in Texas and use this product quite a lot. It feels great after too much time in the sun and seems to repair/replenish damaged skin. Use it after time on the motorcycle (too much wind and sun on my skin) and it just soothes the skin.
