I'm a woman with have average size hands for a woman and I find that the diameter of these handweights is just a bit too large for comfort. I can manage them, but I just wish I could get a slightly better grip. Other than that I like the neoprene cover which absorbs sweat and makes them skid less.

These are a good, comfortable, affordable option. But be warned, if you are a woman with small hands you may have trouble gripping them. The grips are larger than your average gymn Dumbbells.
The picture compares a Reebok 8lb grip with this Valeo 10lb. I can barely close my hand around it.
Still, pretty impressed with the quality :)

What's there to say about a pair of weights? I didn't weigh them, but they feel about right. Be aware that some weights that Amazon sells are sold as ones, some as pairs. This particular item is sold as a pair, so you will probably only need to order one item.

I do a lot of dumbbell workouts, and even at my (ahem) senior age, I still find that after a short while, I get strong enough to need something heavier than the 3-5-8 series that a lot of women use for weight-plus-aerobic workouts.

The neoprene coating is by FAR my favorite way to have dumbbells. I hardly have to wear gloves, there is no rough chrome or cast iron to bother my hands and when you set them down on the floor, they don't scratch. Comfy to work with.

I use these for arm workouts (biceps, triceps, shoulders) and for windmills (hard to describe; you stand with one hip locked, one hand in the air, and bend over, chest expanded, to grab one of the bells. As you get more advanced, you can have another dumbbell in your raised hand. You can also use kettlebells for this move, but I actually prefer dumbbells most of the time.

You can also use them for overhead pullovers (lie on back, start over chest, extend back behind head, pull over chest again, or do this on a bench.)

I keep these in the bedroom under the bed for a quick workout.

This is an accurate and durable weight. I have read numerous articles about free weights being off. I weighed mine and they were accurate. The only thing that kept them from getting five stars is that they are on the bulky side likely due to the neoprene coating. I am female 5'7" with long thin fingers. If my fingers were not on the longer side it may be hard to grip these well. They work for me, but I would be careful if you have tiny hands.

These are wonderful with a nice coating, easy to grip without gloves and still do not slip if your hands get wet. They are not completely round on the ends, its hard to see in this picture but they have a 4 small flat areas which keeps them from rolling on hardwood floors. Very nice!
