They get a little discoloration from the weather, but other than that, these are the best screws for home framing construction i have ever used.

For my shop addition I bought many boxes of these and used them on structural select Douglas Fir [a step better than #1 framing].

I am driving them with Dewalt 18 Volt and 20 Volt Screw drivers. Other screws may snap off, but I have never snapped off one of these.

I'm new to Spax screws. until now I always just bought a big box of cheap screws at Home depot and used them for everything. they were always fine but nothing special.

I can definitely say I am now a Spax customer for life. these are incredibly sturdy, easy to use, and work for everything I have tried so far -- definitely highly recommend them!

These are very well designed screws. They bite into the wood and find purchase where other screws fail -- literally: I bought them on the recommendation of a contractor after other screws I had bought for a project lost their grip and stripped out two of three holes. The Spax screws worked in the rounded-out holes and haven't lost their grip several months later.
