The Music System delivers full and expansive stereo sound – including a SpacePhase™ wide mode – from two integrated speakers and a down-firing, magnetically shielded, powered subwoofer. A self-adjusting lighted display provides the time and audio track information.

Like all Tivoli Audio products, the Music System stereo is compatible with iPod and other players. The multi-layered, high-gloss, hand-lacquered wood cabinet is available in your choice of three finishes: piano black with a silver faceplate, piano white with a silver faceplate, or dark walnut with a beige faceplate.

The Tivoli Audio Music System is a full-featured tabletop music system and the ultimate in high fidelity stereo sound. With its concert quality sound, the Music System is designed to bring music to the ears of the most discernible audiophile and music lover. The Music System includes a slot-loading CD player, AM/FM radio, built-in powered subwoofer and amplifier, and digital clock with battery backup and dual alarms with snooze function. The CD player has shuffle and repeat functions, and is compatible CD, MP3, WMA, CD-R, CD-RW, and CD Text formats. Both AM and FM antennas are included for optimum radio reception, as well as six presets for AM and FM radio stations. An easy-to-read LCD; that automatically adjusts to lighting conditions, display shows CD/MP3 text or Radio Data System (RDS) information, where available. Music System offers full and expansive, high-fidelity stereo sound via its two incorporated speakers with SpacePhase equalization choices between mono, stereo and wide mode, while a built-in, down-firing 5 magnetically-shielded powered subwoofer adds rich musical bass. The subwoofer also has a volume control. The unit also features a bass reflex design for extended bass response, and separate amps for maximum power efficiency. And it is certainly more than that, as it's cd player also sounds very very fine. I just received this today and it exceeds my expectations by a long shot.
Great sound, remote & reception-- and it's quite beautiful to boot!

I am spoiled by my "main rig": a 2 channel system that includes a VPI Aries turntable, Marantz model 7 pre-amp, a Naim cd5 cd player, KEF 105.2 speakers, and Grado PS1 and AKG K1000 headphones. This one piece unit is more in league with that fine equipment than with the alternatives; so much so that I did not want to turn it off tonight. My local NPR station was playing some Sinatra just now, and it is the best I've EVER heard him sound from a radio. Before that an alternative station played some REM off "chronic town" followed by "London Calling" and it rocked a large dining room and kitchen very nicely. I love my new radio!
I auditioned everything but the new cambridge soundworks hd unit (which was not shipping yet), and I'm glad I trusted my instincts and the few reviews because this is just fantastic.
