Kidde CO alarms include the most accurate sensing technology available, the patented Nighthawk electrochemical sensor. This Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm and Smoke Alarm Value Pack contains one Kidde 9CO5 Carbon Monoxide Alarm and one Kidde 440375 Smoke Alarm. The battery operated carbon monoxide alarm is able to provide continuous monitoring of CO levels, even during power outages. The unit's snap-open cover makes it easy to take out old batteries, but is difficult to close if you forget to install new batteries. For peace of mind, a test/reset button allows you to test that the alarm is functioning properly. The smoke alarm is a battery operated, stand-alone alarm with an ionization sensor. The smoke alarm is powered by a 9V battery and offers a Hush feature that temporarily silences nuisance alarms. Install UL listed smoke alarms on every floor of your home, in hallways, inside bedrooms and outside of sleeping areas. Replace smoke alarms every 10 years. Ionization sensing alarms may detect invisible fire particles (associated with fast flaming fires) sooner than Photoelectric alarms. Studies show both types will effectively detect either type of fire. For optimal protection, install both smoke alarm technologies in your home.

Kidde Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors are of high quality. This name brand is sold in my local stores, however, the prices are much higher than at Amazon.com.

I ordered two of these combo CO / Smoke Detector sets, the CO detectors are supposed to come with a tabletop stand which would eliminate unnecessarily drilling holes into walls, neither of the two sets I ordered included the stand, what are these, reject sets ???
