This is an ample amount of seasoning for a dozens of bags of popcorn. I was expecting more of a buttery taste, but to me, it has some sweetness to it. It almost has a kettle corn taste, so I haven't tried it on any other foods.
If you sprinkle this in the bag, do not shake the bag to distribute, it will all settle on the bottom. I shake some on, then eat and then shake more on. This seems to work out well.
I recommend this for popcorn lovers who like a bit of sweetness with their snack. It's delicious and has minimal calories.

This Kernel Season's Butter Seasoning is a fine powder that I have used on potatoes and popcorn. I got it mainly for popcorn, but it was good on the mashed potatoes. It is gluten free, and it is not heavy on the salt, which is a huge plus for me. I popped some butter flavored popcorn, but it was not buttery enough, and I don't need the calories of real butter. This worked well because it gave it a buttery/almost cheesy taste that I liked. Did not taste sweet, either, which I do NOT like (if I want sweet, I will get Kettlecorn). I like it better than the other popcorn butter salt I was using.

We love popcorn but plain butter became too redundant and not very healthy for us. We wanted a change but still wanted the butter flavor. We mix this seasoning with the white cheddar and the two are great together. The trick with using this seasoning is keeping it from dropping to the bottom. We spray some oil on the popcorn and then spread the seasonings. It turns out great.

This butter salt product adds good zest to many foods. I sprinkled it on vegetables, including potatoes, green beans, corn, and carrots and it improved the taste. The primary flavor is salt, which is not overwhelming, followed by butter and turmeric. People who enjoy a real salty taste will not find it in this product, and this is good; they can always add some salt.

Kernel Season's Seasonings are sold in the popping corn section of my local Walmart. Unlike a number of seasonings I've tried that are marketed for use on popcorn and other foods, the two Kernel Seasoning flavors I've tried, Butter and Nacho Cheddar, are milder in flavor or less overwhelming or overpowering. And I prefer that to seasonings that are intense and dominating.

I've sampled this seasoning on fresh popped popcorn, salads, baked potatoes, pasta noodles, white rice, cooked veggies (e.g., carrots, broccoli and corn on the cob), hard boiled eggs, and in omelets. The results are always pleasing and satisfying and I look forward to trying other flavors of Kernel Season's Seasoning.

The containers say to shake well before use, which I mention because not everyone is necessarily going to look for directions on this type of product.

There is 60 mg. sodium in 1/4 tsp. of the Butter Seasoning and to me it tastes far more buttery than salty, which I consider a good thing because one can always add salt if desired.

Though I do like some popcorn with my butter ;-) I have to say that this seasoning on popcorn and nothing else, i.e., no melted butter (I usually use butter plus olive oil), tastes a lot better than I expected. The grandkids like it (ages 4 and 6) and so do the adults in my family who've tried it.

I doubt too many people who've never tasted Kernel Season's Seasonings are going to buy a 3-pack on faith they'll like it, so to them I would suggest they pick up a single shaker in a store.

The shakers say "no artificial ingredients" and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the two flavors I've tried do not have an artificial taste, nor do they have the kind of flavor I associate with "junk food.Read more ›

This is my favorite low cal popcorn topping. It has the essence of butter, and I use butter spray to get it to stick to the kernels. The 6 pack option is incredibly priced, and since I go through the bottles fast, just perfect. Enjoy!!

The taste of this seasoning is ok but nothing to get excited about in my opinion. My son actually likes it though so I continue to buy it for him. He makes popcorn every night for a snack and always puts this seasoning on it. It doesn't stick to the popcorn very well so he ends up using a lot of it.
