I ordered this set because I wanted a round trivet. I have two Natural Home Bamboo trivets which I use mostly in the kitchen. I like to keep trivets under some of my electronics too and wanted the additional shape.
In comparing the two square trivets from both brands, I found that the only really noticeable difference was the color. The Lipper trivet is a deeper color and I have attached a picture. Other than that, both are the same thickness, though the space between the lattice is 3/8 inch on the Lipper and 4/8 inch on the Natural Home, making the Natural Home trivet hole a bit larger. I find the bamboo trivets to be more useful for my needs and appreciate the fact that the wood looks blends nicely in any environment.
