The technical data says this is 24 pins but it's not. It's 18 pins. That makes it single-channel.

so, i'm trying to one up my buddy who just bought a 50in 1080p LCD tv. i opted for an IBM 1080p projector capable of at least a 90in picture. The one thing that i needed to make this scenario work was a 30 ft. DVI to HDMI cable. good luck finding one at your local stereo store, and if you do be prepared to spend at least four dollars a foot. so, i hopped on to amazon and within seconds had exactly what i needed for under 30 bucks. two days later it was delivered to my house and my home theatre was in motion, literally. thanks amazon!!

The first cable didn't work but Amazon rushed a replacement. The second cable works fine as long as the signal is going to my HDTV. If I turn the TV off or move to a different device the signal to my main monitor gets hinky. But if you need to occasionally hook your computer to a TV the pictures is really great.

These cables are great value. They work fine. You can waste money on gold tipped/plated but ultimately unless your device is also gold plated and the contacts/connectors inside the device are all hermetically sealed you're not going to see the benefit.

Well its kinda a funny story orginally ordered this cable for my 42' Sony Wega LCD tv heard a lot about the quality of component vs HDMI cables so I figured what the hell... I'm not a impluse shopper so i shopped around a little, went to Best Buy and Circuit City there prices were outrageous something around 100 - 150 for this cable they had a attitude like if you can afford a LCD TV and you want to best picture then you can afford to pay for cables that cost 100 or even more ... needless to say i got turned on too amazon .. The Cable arrived in a very timely manner i hooked it up to the TV and my HD DVR cable box and nothing happend even went as far as calling the Cable company but apparently the cable boxes have the port disabled for "security and anti-piracy" that sucks...anyway was about to return the cable when i forgot the i have a 3d card on my computer that has a HDMI port for HD ... i hooked it up and viola presto i'm surfing and using the 42' TV as a huge computer monitor ... nothing beats sitting on the couch playing Half Life 2 with a wireless keyboard and mouse ( which i may add i also ordered shortly after finding out about the other use of this cable). So in closing for the money i spent and the quality of cable i received compared to other places i would give this cable a very high mark ...

Hi,

I purchased this in order to link up my 32 LG LCD with my desktop and it worked perfectly. good cable out for the people who do not want to spend $$ on a cable but with very very fair/decent quality.

I recommend this if you do not want to budget money for a cable and it just does the job the same.
