I will probably never use this for it's intended function on my car, since I use the pre-gapped platinum plugs. But it works great for my lawnmower plug, and the quality is good. It also looks nice on my keychain - a subtle way of letting people know you're a car guy, or just mechanically inclined in general. Not shiny enough to count as "bling", in my opinion, but it's semi-polished look and gunmetal color really look sharp on your keyring. If you get grease or oil in the grooves it is easy to clean out to keep it readable, and I would think that a gap tool of this quality would be tough to break. I just wish it had more of an eccentric, cam-like shape, so if you drop it without a keyring or chain looped into the hole it won't roll as far. Almost lost mine when it nearly rolled into a sewer drain after slipping out of my hand. It's on my keyring now, so that's not a problem, but for people who just use it for their car or other engines, my advice is to keep a little chain looped on it so it can't roll if you drop it.

Simple. Works. I would certainly not keep it on my key chain though as it could become gouged and the increments are so small as it stands. Note about changing spark plugs: you do not need a torque wrench. Use the two finger tight method (put two fingers on end of wrench and turn until they start bending back against your strength.

Always used this tool - its a gauge and a tool to set plug gap - slide the plug to the desired gap and its done - markings are stamped will not come off - lost mine, got a new one - would recommend to anyone.

This is an excellent tool and very easy to use. I found that while the markings on the tool are dark enough to comfortably read and I had no trouble seeing the markings. While I prefer metric measurements, I appreciate that it has millimeters on one side and inches (or rather, fractions of an inch) on the other. I agree with the other reviewer who stated this product scratches easily. I ordered this from "Toolmans World" here on Amazon and it was shipped very quickly.

This gap tool seemed to be accurate and it was easy to use. Increasing the gap was no problem using the hole on top. If the gap is too big, you just gently hit it down with a mallet. Overall, it got the job done with accuracy in a timely manner.

Great little tool at a terrific price. Easy to use and store. Absolutely necessary to assure proper operation of spark plugs. Now that I have it, I wouldn't be without it. Should last several lifetimes.
