I order this tray and it looks excellent. However, the description on Amazon is not very clear. There is a 21.75 inch tray that needs to be mounted with 1/2 inch extra on the leading edge. So you need a full 22.25 inches under your desk top to mount it.

I had been having problems with my right arm for several weeks and I assumed it was because I used my keyboard and mouse on the top of my desk. I had pains in my wrist, elbow and shoulder. My old desk was getting very old and needed to be replaced anyway, but I didn't want to have any problems with the new desk.

After spending a couple of hours researching ergonomic support, I decided that I absolutely needed an adjustable keyboard tray. The only question was which one. Since there weren't a lot of reviews available, the decision was difficult. I chose this one because of the adjustable height.

I've had it for several months now and it has really made a difference in my life. I no longer have severe pains throughout my right arm and shoulder. I'm able to literally put the tray on my lap and work with the utmost comfort. It is a bit stiff, but that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned. The mouse tray moves around a bit more freely which can be very annoying.

My only complaint is that you have to remove the wrist support for larger keyboards. I use the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave set which will not fit on this tray unless you remove the wrist support. This is a very minor issue since the Wave has a built-in wrist support.

This is a well built, sturdy keyboard tray. Easy installation, it took me about 15 minutes with hand tools. I would have given it five stars, but once installed, the tray is very difficult to pull out from the under the desk position. I tried silicone spray and finally automotive grease to the slide which didn't help. Too bad, as this tray is ergonomically perfect.

It's expensive, it's bulky, and there's a long metal plate that needs to attach to the bottom of the desk. It originally would not fit under my desk at work but my co worker was nice to cut the metal plate and install it for me. Make sure your desk is long enough!

It is however, an excellent tray. That, coupled with a realspace pro 3000 series chair from office depot, my really bad carpal tunnel and back pain is alleviated at work.

But, my home is still not setup right.. so I am buying a 2nd one even though it cost so much!

For those who are concern with keyboard trays being flimsy.. I think this is a great one for you. I literally rest my hand on the mouse extension portion and put the mouse on the left hand side of the keyboard tray. I also type quite intensly on my keyboard. If your desk is not sturdy though, it WILL shake your desk but the keyboard tray will stay put! I also often accidentally kick it with my knees too.

Pros far outweight the cons.

I bought this at work as a replacement for a keyboard tray that the hardware failed on. Although the lip on the underneath edge of my desk created a problem that had to be "shimmed" during installation, otherwise it was easy to install. It is very handy as it comes with cord management hooks which keep your trackball, mouse, and keyboard wires off the floor.

Keyboard/mouse height and angle adjust easily and effectively, and even with a new Microsoft 4000 Ergonomic keyboard, it folds conveniently back out of the way underneath my desk. Construction seems solid, everything was in the package, and the adjustments are nice.

Nice, well built unit. After using those cheapo plastic slide keyboard trays this is night and day different.
As long as you have room to mount the 21 3/4" metal plate on bottom of your desk then you want this one. The plate makes if very solid. I had looked at a tray that simply used a square four screw mount on bottom of the desk...this one is a much better setup.

Mine is mounted underneath a 24" wide counter top. I built up the under side of the counter with an additional 3/4 piece of plywood. And screwed the metal plate directly to that. I use a pretty much full sized Lenovo/IBM keyboard on mine and it fits the shelf perfectly, even with the tray's wrist pad.
I should have gotten two of these but I'll certainly buy another.

Overall, it would be very nice except there is a lot of "play" between the arm's slider and the mounting track. All of the other moving parts fit tightly (but not overly tight) and work as described in the product description. I've been using it daily for about 9 months, and the adjustability of the mouse tray is the main reason I am sticking with it. I read someone's review stating the slider was very tight in the track and difficult to pull out. Mine is the exact opposite. On mine, the whole arm and platform can rotate freely about the arm's pivot point to for a certain distance before it's restrained. That means my keyboard can swing left and right in front of me about 3/8" in either direction without any resistance. I think it is because the slider doesn't fit tightly in the track. Which would also explain this: whenever I take my right hand off the mouse quickly to go back to the keys, the platform shakes like a diving board. I've checked all the screws in the arm, the track and the platform, and they are all secure. I can only think it must be that either the track or the slider was manufactured outside the correct tolerances.
