Well made brush
No-scratch design using hoops of wire instead of the typical blunt-cut wire in most brushes
The tornado design covers 360 degrees multiple times

Cons:
May not be as aggressive as other straight cut bristle brushes
Requires slightly more effort to pull through the bore than a brush like Otis No.35 Brush (338, 340, 35, 357, 38 Pistol)

Final Thoughts:
This is my favorite bore cleaning brush type, try it, I think it may be yours too.

I been using these for as long as I have been shooting and every time I experiment with something else, the alternative comes up short. I'm just sticking with these tried and true brushes. They do an exceptional job keeping my pistols clean and they get a lot of use since I'm a competitive action shooter. They're also remarkably durable. They won't last forever, but they do last for a very long time. It's one of the many reasons why I've become a such a fan of the Hoppe's brand.

This also applies to the 22, and 45 cal brushes. The brushes all have a standard male thread which fits my various gun cleaning rods. They are somewhat over-sized so they give a good scrubbing action. The rounded eyelet on the other end can be used with a cord to pull the brush through the barrel if limited access is available from the breech. Or the rod can be passed into the barrel and then the brush attached and the rod pulled back. A couple of passes with brushes wetted with Hoppes #9, followed by some patches seemed to clean up the weapons quickly.
I think they may end up being better than brass in the long run. My bristles on an old brass brush wore down. I like the standard Hoppes #9 solvent for cleaning having used it for many years.

I have this brush in both .22 and .38 calibers, purchased specifically for their great lead removal capabilities. Although I prefer FMJ rounds, the lead noses tend to be cheaper and more available these days, making these brushes a great addition to the cleaning kit!

These are fantastic, i've got one in each calibre now, you can use them straight, as is, or i like to put them through with a patch on them, they clean the barrel so much faster than a brush or patch puller. Think of them as a safer version of a jag, but with dual usage as well !
