I would recommend this product to anyone who may be suffering for CTS or any other repetitive wrist injury. I work on a computer for 8 hours a day and these last couple weeks have really done a number on my wrist. Not only has the CTS made working nearly unbearable, but also it has made it hard to get any sleep as my wrist continues to be in pain. I have searched high and low for this specific wrist guard and I am in love with it. Since the moment I put it on and adjusted it to my wrist, I have had nothing but relief. I wear it at work as well as when I sleep. I also enjoy the fact that it is extremely light and less bulky then other wrist guards on the market. If you are looking for something light and unobtrusive, yet strong and sturdy...this is the brace for you.

I did a month of research before ordering these. My research showed that some reviewers complained about them breaking after only a few uses. Others complained about the rubber part between the thumb and first finger being annoying. I followed the directions when fitting the brace to my wrist and kept the rubber strap just below the first knuckle on the first finger. I have yet to feel any discomfort. These braces are not meant to offer support while performing any type of physical activity. In fact, the medical articles about CTS advise brace users to wear them during sleep and not while doing activities. This is to give the tendons and tissues a chance to heal by remaining in a neutral position during rest. The journal articles also point out that overuse of braces will cuase the muscles involved to atrophy. So, with all of that in mind, I wear them while sleeping. If I do something to cause CTS pain, will wear them for a few hours to give the tendons and tissues some rest. I would recommend these to anyone. They are lightweight, and you hardly notice you are wearing them. They adjust easily and you can remove them in seconds.

This brace is very lightweight and comfortable. I've been using it for a moderate wrist sprain. It breathes more than other braces, and it is slightly less noticeable, which is nice. I love that the closures aren't velcro. It would be even better if the little adjustment strap was made of something other than velcro. I would prefer that the strap that goes above the thumb was maybe 1/4" higher, but it doesn't chafe or hurt anyway, which is more than I can say for a lot of other braces.

I'm a little concerned about the soft plastic overmolding by the palm of the hand. I use a manual wheelchair, so I'm sure I'm a bit harder on it than some people would be, but I use my feet more than my hands to propel myself around my little apartment, so I don't think it makes too much of a difference. Anyway, the soft plastic peeled up first near the heel of the palm. I super glued it, and it doesn't look very nice, but at least for now it's staying where it belongs. Now it's also peeling up on the little strip that goes around to the back of the hand (under the thumb), and that part of the brace doesn't get much wear and tear at all. This soft plastic is what goes above the thumb, so if too much of it peels up elsewhere, that strap is going to eventually break. I've worked with this type of soft rubbery plastic before in manufacturing, and it know it's difficult to make it any more durable, but maybe the manufacturer needs to look at using some other kind of material for the palm and thumb strap.

This is a well-designed alternative to standard wrist braces. I like the way it is molded to the right shape. And most of it is very open and breathable. Unfortunately, the part that seems to get the most sweaty in any wrist brace is the palm, and this is no exception. One other disadvantage compared to a standard wrist brace is that it is less adjustable. Unlike one with a metal splint, you can't bend the plastic structure of this and reshape it. And the strap that goes between the thumb and index finger (the part that some reviewers report broke, shown at the top right of the picture, facing towards the viewer) I find uncomfortable because it is then and digs into my hand there. I also find the narrow part just below the thumb opening a little uncomfortable, digging in. I ordered a medium, but might return it and try a large. My wrists are thin, but my hand is fairly wide and long. The palm portion is short, and only comes halfway up my palm. I think it would be more comfortable and give me more support if it came up most of the way to my fingers.

After damaging a wrist and not liking some of the large wrist supports that limited movement as the wrist healed but still needed some support I found this. It provided me the support I needed while not being too hot. It also allowed me a little bit of needed movement while still providing the protection I needed. This was by far one of the best wrist supports I have used when not needed extremely heavy protection.
