Bought this C2G / Cables to Go Cat6 Snagless Crossover Cable for use when upgrading a PC and had to make a secure connection to a router as opposed to trying a wireless connection. Simply put, this one lives up to its "Fast, fast, fast" note in the product description.

This cable meets and/or exceeds the published Cat6 TIA/EIA-568-B-2.1, draft 9 standard certification specs, and is the right length for general upgrading when needed. The snagless clip does the job, and the orange color stands out so that it doesn't get mixed up with yellow crossover cables with larger scale installations.

Another highly recommended C2G cable... have yet to have a failure over the years.

The "snagless" feature is great because it won't snag when pulling out of a nest of cables. That said, it gets in the way of plugging into a switch or device. I found it very difficult (had to use a screw driver to release the RJ-45 latch) to release the latch by pressing down on the top of the "snagless" feature. I would not purchase these cables again because of the poor design.

I have otherwise found the products from Cables to Go (C2G) to be well made, but not this product.

This is a 100mbit crossover cable, not gigabit crossover. The wiring on this cable is like this:

1 ---> 3
2 ---> 6
3 ---> 1
6 ---> 2

4 ---> 4
5 ---> 5
7 ---> 7
8 ---> 8

If you have a 100mbit switch/hub to another 100mbit switch/hub, it'll work fine because the 2 pair of wire (1,2,3,6) for 100mbit are wired correctly. The other 2 pairs of the wiring (4,5,6,7) are just straight through.

EDIT: Changed the rating from 1 star to 3 star because the description does mention it is only a 100mbit crossover cable. They need to get that info on the product name as well...

Ordered on Wed Evening and received Fri, unbelievable delivery time! The protective ends on this cable is by far the best that I have ever used. Easy to pinch when removing, and the thin plastic tension on the cable ends of the connecting device is not exposed to tangling and breakage. I have had so many get broken off in the past, but not this one.
