I got 3 of these,and unfortunately, I didn't realize that if they were put in the dryer the underside could melt. So, after only one washing, they had swiss-cheese-like holes in the underside. I thought it did say it was safe for washer and dryer, and I know that the other brand I buy (midwest fleece) has held up to tons of washing/drying. Once the dryer damage was done, the dogs started digging them and easily putting holes in the base fabric and pulling out chunks of the thin foam padding in the bottom. They had an extraordinarily short life in our home, which was disappointing for the price. So, didn't work out well for us. A shame, because they are pretty.

I have a five month old bullmastiff puppy and she likes to cuddle in her crate with her puppy blanket so I thought adding this bed would give her a nice bolster to rest her head on and soften the crate bottom to prevent any calluses on her elbows. It is a nice collar and is soft to the touch but the center area is very thin and doesn't really provide any padding. She still digs her blanket into a nest in one corner but I think the bolster has helped her prop her head a bit since she is snoring less. This bed would not stand up to any chewing of the bolster and slides a bit so if your puppy or dog is very rambunctious or chews a lot this probably would not work for you. I wouldn't return it but I probably would not buy the same one again- I would get a thicker square dog bed instead if you are looking for a soft padding for the crate.

The pan in the kennel had a few cracks in it. I priced a new pan and then thought about a mat. This item was priced lower then the pan and the dog loves it. She actually goes into the kennel now just to hang out and sleep. Great item. Fits perfect.

This Crate Pet Bed Mat is just amazing, it is so soft and comfy the puppy just loves it and he sleeps through the night now! When we just had comfy blankets for him to cuddle with he would wake up and bark at least once or twice a night. We've had this in his cage for 3 nights and for 3 nights he has slept straight through the night. He loves to cuddle up in one of the corners. It is also a great color, even though in the picture on the website the color doesn't look that great it is a very nice charcoal color and should be great with dirt (i.e. you won't have to wash it as often as the lighter color ones. If you have an inside dog or puppy that you are crate training or is crate trained this is perfect. I recommend it to everyone with a dog crate.

Color stated as charcoal, but actually is brown, not what I needed. I also didn't think there would be a problem with the mat being listed as 1/2" thick, but turns out that they didn't bother to put any reinforcement; it bunches up as if it was just a towel when ever my dog even walks into his crate. I have only had it one day and thinking of ordering something different.

I expected padding on the entire "pad" of this mat since it seems to abound in the perimeter cushion, but that is not the case. So I've had to order yet another product to do the job I expected this one to do. In short, it looks nice and is totally worthless in my humble opinion.

I needed a new bed for the standard large metal crate I have and this works great. It is flat enough as to not be cumbersome inside of the crate yet the bolster gives my pups a place to lay their heads if they want. The bed itself is not very thick, but if your dogs like to circle and gather their bed/blanket, this gives them the ability to do so.
