I was on a long flight from Chicago to Europe. About 4 hours out diarrhea struck. Can you think of any worse timing than halfway through a long flight? Airplane bathrooms are just not designed to comfortably handle that kind of stomach upset. By the time we landed in London I had already visited the bathroom about half a dozen times and I still had a layover and another flight to go. I was really visualizing a disaster. Fortunately, there was a drug store at Heathrow Airport and they recommended Imodium Instants.

These are tiny little pills that melt on your tongue - you don't need any water to take them. I took a dose right there in the pharmacy and that was the end of the diarrhea. Really, I think it saved the trip for me. Maybe "wonder drug" is overstating it - but honestly, I was impressed. This stuff works.

My gastroenterologist suggested trying the Imodium Instants that act fast because they dissolve instantly on your tongue. It is an excellent product and performs as described. I had to order this medication through Amazon because I had to get it from the United Kingdom (U.K.). It is not available in the USA. It needs to be made available here in our own country.

I used this in England when we were there last year and tried to cram to much in in too little time. With the jet lag and not sleeping or eating properly. this really helped. You cannot find this in the USA? So when I searched it on Amazon was happy to see it was there. This stuff really works, you have no IDEA how much I needed this, you take 2 melt in your mouth tabs and then (read the directions) I was fine within 2 hours after using this product. This allowed me to enjoy the rest of my trip!

A couple of years ago, it became impossible to find imodium that didn't contain lactose--as most of the generics do--when McNeil stopped selling imodium in the U.S. This works as well as the McNeil product; with the caveat that you have to take it about thirty minutes before you'd have to take the McNeil U.S. imodium. I'm so grateful that this is available anywhere.

These were really expensive for 6 pills. They came from the UK and took a long time to get here. I wanted to try them because I have IBS and it's handy to have something in your purse that works fast. They taste alright and they work. It's very hard to find the Immodium chewables any more. They work just as well.
