Size: 6-Wire In-Line with K-Plug Verified Purchase
I bought this assuming it was an RJ-11 / RJ-12 6P6C connector. This has an RJ-45 8C on both ends. Is the exact same footprint as the 8 wire fluke model, except it only has 6 copper contacts to connect your but set to. The just remove 2 contacts from this 6 wire model. I returned and upgraded to the 8 wire model. Just seems silly or a waste to have a 6 copper contact for an RJ-45 jack. I would have been happy with this one, if it came with an RJ-45 8C to RJ-12 6C K plug. But it comes with RJ45 K plug on both ends. Hope this helps someone.

This product works fine. The only problem is that Amazon has the wrong picture posted, and has ignored multiple requests to correct it.

This unit does not have a hardwired modular cord at one end. That is a different Fluke banjo product. This unit has a modular plug at both ends, and you can plug it inline with a working telephone set to break out the four conductors of the RJ-11 plug.

This unit also offers the benefit of small holes in the terminal tabs, which allows the skinny alligator clips of a phone test set to clip on securely.

I am very happy with this unit and there is no justification for the low rating that one reviewer has given it. That reviewer is unhappy because the picture was wrong. He should have just returned his purchase and gotten the one he wanted, which I'm sure Amazon would have done at no charge given the incorrect photo on this page.

If you verify the model number on the Fluke site you will see that this one is equipped with a modular plug on both ends. It works fine in situations where that is what is desired.

This Banjo is great for what is does. The quality is wonderful and the design is convenient. My only complaint, which is to no fault of the product, is that it lack any kind of pass-through capability. After using this Banjo for a couple weeks, I finally just coughed up the extra cash and got the Banjo 8, which is even more useful. If you are just looking for a simple tool to help test dial-tone at a jack, this works great.

Works well for its intended purpose. Why no one has figured out that it would make things so much easier if the contacts had holes drilled in them so you could more securely connect alligator clips from a test set I have no idea, but if someone ever came out with one like that I'd buy one as the alligator clips tend to slip off the contacts quite easily, especially when working in cramped equipment rooms.

Purchased this for my Fluke Butt Set as I need to be able to test phone lines.
(Don't understand why its not included with the butt set?)
Used recently on a job and worked fine except the crock clips wouldn't stay on very well.
Otherwise work OK.

These banjo connectors are great. I had a simple one that came with my butt set however it developed a short. This new one is great because the line is user replaceable and it also allows for pass-through. Highly recommend.

I like its size. Light and has a handy little clip on it. One downside is the line chord doesn't unplug from it. Not a big deal, but would have come in handy in some situations. Last little thing (and this is really being nitpicky), is more expensive banjo's have holes in the connectors. My test set tends to fall off the little copper plates a little too easy. Perfect tool for someone that does light phone work. I like this product, but would go for the more expensive one next time.

The clip on my old "banjo" adapter broke and I needed a new one for the occasional time I need to connect a butt set to a modular jack for testing. This one fits the bill and is more sturdy that some of the lesser models that use what amounts to a wall jack with alligator clips.
