This cord set is rated at 10 Amp, but no temperature rating. The plug that connects to the appliance, waffle iron in my case, has to withstand prolonged high temperatures. So far, it has been holding up, but I reserve my final opinion after a years use. The original connector was more like Bakelite, and this has a more plastic feel. The old one failed at the termination to the connector socket, but the body of the connector was fine.
