What's not to like about this one! Sammy live singing so many of his classic songs. Including some I have never heard live before like MacArthur Pack. In The Ghetto. This recording must be later in his life to have these songs on it. There is no real description of when it is from. But who cares it is Sammy in great form doing what he does best! This set is a great price for 2 cds and the sound quality and the packaging is very good. My only complaint is why did they spell JR. JNR on the cover. I have never seen his name spelled like that anywhere. But honestly this is a great set of music that belongs in any Sammy Davis Jr. (Or should I say JNR?) collection. I absolutely love it.

as a long time fanof the music and voice of this entertainer/singer it was great to listen to this 2 disc set
and to have this cd released. Of course Sammy was famous for singing with the Rat pack,and for entertaining in vegas and he was quite funny and has talent apart from music which can be gleaned in his films,where he was a fixture for some years and i recall him showing up on an episode with carroll o'connor on all in the family,quite funny. He wasnt a bad actor...and i believe he was in show business from a very young age and may have had trouble breaking into the clubs. Many of his great songs are on this cd,and its great listening to them and refreshing and reexperiencing the tunes after all these years,that the great memories were lodged in our memories,and resurfaced like the joy we felt when first listening to these tunes! Good stuff and i need to go through the other cd's sung by him...as a movie comedian and sometimes straight man i find him quite good,so relaxed and at ease!
