Corelle dishes are so light. And they hold up really well. These are a little bigger than what I would call normal bowls. They come in handy if you have something small to mix and don't want to pull out a mixing bowl. You can fit one prepared package (which is actually two servings, but who only eats half) of ramen noodles in one of these bowls. I still have mine that I bought in 2009 and they still look new.

The error on this purchase was all mine. We have other Corelle dishes and include a large bowl. I thought this 28 oz was my sets version of that bowl. It turns out it is called a vegetable bowl and is NOT the bowls I bought. This a just a tiny bit different that the salad/soup bowls that already came with my Memphis set. The fault was all mine so I opted to keep them.

I thought this had a flange around the rim, but it does not. We use them but not delighted. Caution: if you stack these together when wet they are nearly impossible to separate. Quality is fine, but would be nicer with a rim. The photo looks as if it has a rim, but it is the curve at bottom of bowl. Sides are straight.

I love these bowls. They are just the right size for soup. I gave away all my other soup bowls (even the Corelle ones) that were more horizontal in appearance. These bowls have higher sides and appear to be more vertical. They are perfect bowls.
