i am a home audiophile and i must admit i know nothing of car speakers so at first i bought a sony explode 12'' from walmart for 69.99, and it kicked! but i was looking around amazon for a topnotch amplifier for it cause my amp at the time was only 125watts continuous power bridged 4 ohm, and i came across this monstrous contraption... looking at it i realized all i had to pay was 45.97 for this earthshaker... i place an order and a 15'' vented box to match, thus only paying 89.11 for a complete subwoofer! 1.5 weeks later it shows up, i open the box to reveal one of the biggest speakers i have ever seen! eager to see what it could do i quickly switched speakers in my car and this thing DESTROYED! the xplod...

its absolutly outstanding, and its size is insanely impressive.
and the best thing about it for me is that it only has 500horsepower on it so its not too hard to amplify...

i am an audiophile, i have heard and bought over 20-30 subs.
so trust me, for this price, i would recommend this!

Please know that my review is based on the look of this product alone. The 3 star rating does not mean anything, I just put it in the middle because I had to rate it something. Since I have not heard the sub I cannot accurately rate it. However, I bought this sub because of the low price and the free shipping and I have had a lot of luck with boss products in the past. I do just want to mention that when the sub arrived I was greatly disappointed with the quality/construction. Mainly the basket appeared to be cheap and also the magnet structure was very small and they used that big plastic/rubber thing to cover it up and make it look beefy. I sent the sub back (Amazon's return policy is VERY good) and I ordered a Pioneer 12" Sub for only $20 more. The Pioneer construction is VERY quality and the sub is very loud.
