This is some very good southern rock by the Georgia Satellites. It contains some original songs, plus several "cover" songs (Georgia Satellite Style). It contains the following songs:

1. Keep Your Hands to Yourself (original)
2. Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On - (This is the old Jerry Lee Lewis Classic).
3. Games People Play
4. Battleship Chains
5. Open All Night (original)
6. Every Picture Tells A Story - (This is one by Rod Stewart & Ron Wood)
7. Shake That Thing (original)
8. Railroad Steel (original)
9. Don't Pass Me By
10.Stellazine Blues (original)

This is some very good southern rock music, and I recommend it!!! Thanks!!!

Not a lot of songs on this release though. It's strange, back when the Georgia Satellites big album came out (the self-titled one), I was big on it, plus some of the songs from the later Let it Rock compilation. It's only recently that I decided to go back and pick up subsequent albums. It interesting how much GS sounds like classic era Slade though. Now, there are some differences of course. Both has raspy-voiced singers, gritty guitar, raunchy songs, etc. GS was a little more roots-rock, a little more piano, a little more country. Slade was a little more metal, and were raunchier, and of course Slade had one of the top five rock vocalists of all time. On the other hand, GS didn't wear some of those silly glam outfits that Slade wore in their glam years. Overall though the style and sound of both bands songs were very similar. At any rate, I would tend to say buy the first three albums instead and then choose the songs you like, sincd this comp only has 10 songs on it.

If you want a rocking southern band sound, get your hands on this cd. It is great. It makes you want to get up and dance in the car or where ever you are.

This is a really great group and CD. I am very pleased with my purchase and all the songs. Georgia Sattellites have a sound almost like the 50's and 60's rock n roll sound. An excellent investment if your looking for a great sound to liven things up.
