It is advestised as a Heel and Ankle protector but does NOT cover your ankles. When bringing that to the company's attention they do NOT care to respond. If you wanted to cover just your heels there is a product advestised that is made out of cotton (polyfil) which would be more comfortable than this dry, scratchy sponge. I asked for a prepaid shipping label since the product was not advertised correctly, the request was denied. I paid almost as much to return the product as it cost and the purchase price has still NOT been refunded. As I write this review the product is still advertied to protect your ankles which it does NOT do!

I bought these for my Mom. She is bedridden. She developed pressure sores
on her heels overnight. My friend that is a nurse has never seen heel sores
actually absorb, and improve. I think hospice should provide these. Recommend
to anyone ill that will be spending some time bed bound.

Just what I needed and the price was more than a bargain. I can only sleep on my back due to hip and back problems. This keeps my heels digging in the mattress during the night and putting too much pressure on them to the point of excruciating pain. These things solved the problem immediately.

I bought these for my 95-yr-old father who has ulcers on his feet. He wears them only at night when he goes to bed. This has helped to relieve pressure points and the ulcers are healing. I was concerned about them being a tripping hazard when he gets out of bed at night but they have not been a problem. I would recommend them for someone in a similar situation.

My 93 year old father has a serious bedsore on his heel that, after more than a year, is just about healed. At some point his doctor recommended this product for wear in bed at night in lieu of the much larger PRAFO type boots, especially given that the ulcer is almost healed. My Dad said this item is easy to put on and more comfortable than other options, including wearing only socks.

The item being reviewed is not meant for walking, nor are the larger PRAFO type boots. They are meant for use in bed or maybe when just sitting. They are not stable enough to be safe while walking.

For walking I would strongly recommend the GloboPed Mobil by Bauerfeind, also available from Amazon. Properly worn this sandal like boot reduces pressure on the heel when walking.

It is my understanding that the only way to heal a bedsore/pressure ulcer is to relieve the pressure on the ulcer, whether walking, sitting or lying down. At least in my father's case, the only medications ever used for treating the ulcer were to prevent infection. So a boot like the GloboPed Mobil for walking, or a PRAFO type boot or the item being reviewed for sleeping or sitting, can speed healing.

They were delivered on time and work great. I have Achilles tendon issues and they help my heels when sitting in a recliner. I just had surgery done on one of them. I use the protector for my other foot since I have to sit a lot. Doctor said it will help when I no longer have to have a cast/walking boot and am just sitting normally on the foot that had surgery.

I honestly hate it. I can't believe that I spent money for 2 pieces of waffled foam that I could have cut and wrapped on my foot for less money and I wouldn't even want that. This does not help at all. The protectors are large, bulky, too big and have not helped at all. I'll probably cut them up to use the foam for my craft inks. Blah.

These are nicely made heel and ankle protectors. I use them every night as I need the protection for my heels because they are very sensitive and need the pressure relieved from lying on a bed at night. A+
