Not only did it arrive pretty beat up, and looking like someone had stepped on the box numerous times, but the wheel itself is just, well...you get what you pay for.

It would frequently fall apart while our (small) rats were using it. There is very little, aside from a tiny metal 'bump' in the frame, to hold the frame and wheel together, and if you have rats that like to run at more than a walking pace, the chances of them knocking the wheel out of the frame are pretty high.

Overall, spend a few dollars more and get a higher quality wheel, this one isn't worth it.

I have a teddy bear hamster, who is unusually large for a hamster.. The smaller wheel he bumped his nose and it. Was just too small. Anyone who's ever had a hamster knows an exercise wheel is a must.. Medium size is perfect (size for rats)he loves it! A regular size hamster would like it too. Great quality, no rusting.. I live at the coast so rust is a problem.. MAKE SURE… if you get a bigger wheel, that you make sure it fits in the cage-check measurement.. I had already purchased. A larger cage - he out grew the aquarium. I put it in the aquarium to check.. Too big for that! Anyhoo. My lil fluff butt is happy as a hamster can be😉

Ordered several of these for mice, all are working great. You might have to bend the side support bars to get the wheel to be level. Other than that just the usual squeaking, no way to escape it! Vegetable or olive oil will keep it quiet for the most part.

Very decent, but we had to bend the sides with a plires to make them fit through the teeny wholes in the sides. Overall, four stars. My gerbils love it, but it was slightly bigger than we expected it to be.

Dispite what this says about being safe for toes and tails I have to say honestly it is not. They can and will get their toes and tails caught in it because there are holes in it. The animals feet will get sore and the tail will get injured.
