This is one of the best small animal carriers I've tried. It's open all around which makes it nicely ventilated and you can see your little pet easily. HOWEVER do reinforce it with a few zip ties. I put 1 in each hole (1 on each side). The large carrier was a bit challenging to put together especially the handle, but it's totally worth it. Have some pliers ready to bent the metal where needed.
I have chinchillas and the Medium carrier is perfect for 1 while the Large one is great for 2.

I bought this item so that I would have a safe place (we also have cats!) for my two rats to hang out while I super clean their cage ... and to keep on hand in the event we ever need to take them to the vet. Initially I assumed I would be able to take it apart and easily store it when not in use. Unfortunately it was such a pain to snap together, that there is no way I am pulling it apart and re-doing that every time I need it. That being said -- because it snaps together so tightly, I did not worry about it coming apart while the little fellas were in there. And it was plenty of space for the two of them (temporarily). Also, it was easy enough to hook their water bottle onto this carrier -- so I did not have to give them a bowl of water (which would inevitably be a sloppy disaster for my silly rats). Overall I am very pleased with the purchase.

I'm glad I got this one over the smaller one. It's perfect for my Cockatiel when I need to take him to the vet, he's very comfortable in it. I also bought the matching cover and I really like the combo. Nice for winter too. I had a little bit of trouble getting it together because the side of the tray warped out just a tiny bit and it was hard to get it snapped together properly. Once I got it snapped in correctly though it is very, very secure and I don't have any worries about it popping out. Very nice that it comes with a wooden perch included that fit's perfectly. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase.

Perfect size for my conure. Fits perfectly into the outer cover sold separately. Also good as a 'sick' cage for your bird. The plastic edges are outside the metal, so the the bottom is pretty chew proof.

I am currently using 2 of these - 1 each for a Quaker and a Green Cheek Conure, and they work perfectly! They are great for traveling as they are compact and light weight. I also like that the plastic bottom has a small hole on each side next to the bars that is perfect for running a zip tie through and securing the cage to the bottom to prevent an escape. The top opening is nice and large, which is helpful if you have an animal that isn't interested in going in!

Got this for my two new rats for cage cleaning time and for vet trips/traveling occasionally back and forth between where I live and where my family lives. Everything pretty much arrived as expected, as far as I was concerned. It was wrapped but it doesn't really need it. Didn't come with instructions but it's pretty self explanatory and couldn't have taken more than five minutes to put together. It's exactly what I need it to be as far as I can tell. The handle is not RIDICULOUSLY stable, so I'll probably need to make sure I check it before I use it just to make sure its all in place, but once in use with the tension of the carrier it's fine. For any bird people who were in need of the perch, mine came broken so I took a star off. I imagine they might replace it if I needed it, but I don't.

The cage is stable, but it ended up not being that great for my rats. They would just get freaked and be able to grab all sides on the top when i had to take them to the vet, also a bit cramped for my 2 rats to be comfortable going to the vet together.

Much easier to just buy one that is a little larger with a side door.
