Reel looks nice, materials look like they are high quality but I think that the tolerances are just not there. The spool has got some play, the handle has some play, and the reel developed some weird click when you crank it. But it's got 5 year warranty and the drag should be pretty good according to many reviews. Also the physical size is very nice and they are not heavy.

Okuma V-system reels are great, High quality and low cost, each reel comes with a spare spool, a cloth bag for storage and a spare spindle. The reels are very smooth and I would recommend to anyone unless you would like to pay three times the price for a top end Shimano reel. I have the V-65a a V-40a and a V-20a, I have not had any problems with any of the reels.

I have bought 4 of these reels two in this size. The first one had to be sent back as the parts to change the handle over to the other side of the reel did not come with it. I have just had the other one the bail arm does not click back into place after casting I noticed a fine see through washer fall out of the bail arm the other day. They are not very smooth for a top of the line reel. These will be my last Okuma reels I ever buy. And that I am in Australia I do not think I am covered by the warranty. Beware find another brand. Not very happy at all.
Well I now have another of the four crap themselves the handle has just fallen of another top of the line Okuma. This reel has only been fished twice and it seems that the handle is stripped some how.
Beware these reels are cheap junk sold as the top of the line product.

It can do its job. I tried it once. It pulled 20 kg catfish easily. You use it for hard jobs. Thanks Amazon for best price...and thanks Okuma for quality.
