I got this product to fix my 7mil open cell freedive suit that had some tears from a fall on the rocks. One tear was about 4 inches long on the back of the leg and the other was about 2 inches long on a stitched seam just over the knee. I was a bit skeptical about how it would perform after reading the directions. The 2 applications seemed weird but I followed them to the word. My suit had tears that were in the middle of the leg and on the knee so it wasn't like the picture that shows a tear from an edge. To keep the edges of the neoprene apart during application I just used a toothpick to keep them separate. It worked great. After the 2 applications of the cement I was careful to align the edges before I pushed the seam together. The stuff is like contact cement in that you get one chance on contact, if you screw up, you're screwed. After I finished the repairs I was impressed how well the tear stuck together but I knew the real test would be on the next dive. I dive northern California so there are a lot of rocky acrobatics just to get in the water so wetsuits take a ton of abuse. The repairs performed very well. The knee held for 4.5 hours of diving with no signs of failing. I'm totally satisfied with the product and highly recommend it.

This glue was very easy to use - just put some on your rip, wait a little and press together. And you are done. No 24 hrs to wait till you can use your wetsuit again, no mess, no nothing. It comes with a brush, but I just squeezed the glue directly from the tube onto the seam where I had some separation. It is flexible after it dries and seems to be very strong. The tune is huge as well. So it will last you more than one wetsuit will. Price was good as well.

I own a Tyr wet suit that comes with a repair kit. Yet, the kit has no instructions and one of the products solidified in less than a year even though I had not opened it. Viewed a YouTube video on wet suit repair that featured Seal Cement. The repair process seemed straight forward, and involved only one product, so I bought Seal Cement in lieu of another Tyr repair kit. Do not use the brush that comes with Seal Cement - it is too big to manipulate, especially on small tears. I used cotton swabs. The repairs have held. Set aside time to do the repair properly - don't rush the process and I expect you will be happy with the results. I am!

I got this product after tearing my triathlon wetsuit a few times and trying to repair with a different repair sealant. The other type was thick and really hard to apply (basically impossible to actually stick to the neoprene) so I was worried this would be the same.

I can't say enough about how good this stuff is. The can came with an applicator brush and the cement was very sticky and very liquid. It immediately soaked into the neoprene and started thickening up (a good thing!). I followed the instructions on the can: apply to each side of the tear and let sit for 5 minutes with the tear pulled apart, apply and let sit with the tear open for an additional 10 minutes, pinch edges together to seal the opening back up. One additional thing I did was use a toothpick after each application to sort of push it down into the tear (mine were pretty big) to ensure that all the nooks and crannies got covered.

After applying it was like an immediate fix. One thing I've read to do is basically bend the piece over itself to compress the area for a few hours before storing and I'll probably do that with this, but the seal seemed almost immediate.

I can't recommend this stuff enough, my wetsuit is good as new. Compared to the single tear from last year, the new seals look much more secure and "sealed".

I needed something to fix a tear in my triathlon wetsuit. After some googling and youtube video watching it seemed like seal cement was my best option. The instructions that come on the packaging aren't entirely helpful so be sure to watch some videos to see demonstrations on how to use this effectively. Also, the little paint brush that comes in the package isn't fine enough and ends up leaving a gloppy mess - much easier to just use a toothpick. When squeezing the tube while closed to mix and agitate, use caution when eventually opening the cap as I had a bunch just shoot out and make a mess.

Overall this is a very good product and my wetsuit tear has been successfully patched.

After a lot of online research I chose McNett's Seal Cement to repair some tears in my Zoot triathlon wetsuit. I cleaned the torn area with acetone first. Then I took the advice of other users and squeezed some McNetts onto a piece of cardboard--not directly onto the tear--and applied it with a toothpick. The result was a neat looking, nicely sealed repair. I haven't worn the wetsuit yet since repairing, but as I stretch it in the area of the repair, it seems solid.

I have to admit, I did not buy it for its intended purpose. I bought this to see if I could fix a wheel chair cushion. It is called a roho cushion. It is make out of neoprene rubber I think, but the problem is, it is way too thin. Basically, take a standard inner-tube for a bicycle, and then make it about 1/3rd of that thickness. Yes, very thin. I thought after reading all of the reviews that this would work good to fix it, I found that the rubber in it was just too thin for this stuff to work very well. For me, this seemed to work about as good as regular contact cement, maybe a little better. But, while I do say that this stuff works good, you have to have a certain thickness for it to do so. As for me, I am back to just using regular bicycle patches of the places that get holes to fix it.
