Awesome tone. Bought them twice.

I'm a recording musician, and bought these heads last year for an E.P. I recorded. They were perfect! I'm in a Melodic Metal Band (A Beautiful Oblivion), and I don't like the flat/dull 'thud' of the toms that most metal drummers seem to migrate towards. I view each and every piece of my three-grand kit as if they were all individual voices (the drum set isn't just for keeping time, you know!). They must not only sound well together, but also full. And these drum heads met my expectations!

I researched for weeks and tested out many other drum heads, before deciding these have 'that sound' I was looking for. I'm going back into the studio in two weeks to record the follow-up album, so I just bought another pack of these heads again, and will continue to use while on tour this fall. Highly recommended.

Great buy

I would like to start out by saying that the picture shown is not the Ebony Suedes, they are the black pinstripes. When I got my drumheads, I was surprised that the box, not the brown shipping box, said pinstripes instead of Suedes. I was a little disappointed, but after I switched the tom heads (I'm saving the snare for a later date) I was pleasantly surprised. Since before I got these heads I always used moongel to help dampen and stuff, but after switching I had no real need for the sticky blue squares. Very good quality heads, must buy even if they aren't Suedes. I love Remo heads.

These heads kick azz

The azz kikkin that these skins have brought to my band is indescribable. Mellow, steady reverberation and solid tones are now coming from my Tama Rockstars. Of course, my drummer is very talented. Let us not forget that is the artist who commands the instrument.
