I got this last year for Christmas and I really wanted it to camping. It is very portable and it is great for camping, tailgating, pinics, or any other place that you just need a portable heat source.

It uses the small propane tanks which is great for me becasue I can use the same type of tanks on this slow cooker, my portable coleman grill, and my camping laterns. That makes it easier since I have those sitting around for the other two.

The top is plastic so it makes it more durable then a glass top.

This slow cooker can get very hot so you can put a lot of different types of meals in it to cook, and not have to wait that long. We put pot roast in it when we were camping and it cooked it pretty quickly and it was basically a frozen chunk going into the cooker. If you wanted to put bean, cheese, or some type of dip into it you will need to put the setting down low because it does get hot. We ended up using it to make most of the meals instead of my coleman grill with the nonstick grill top and a friends gas burner grill.

It was easy to clean so after you are done it is a breeze to just wipe clean. I also wiped it clean while it was still warm so I didn't give it time to sit and cake on. I think it is a great little cooker to have camping.

Everyone their camping with us was very surprised how great it worked.

I bought the Coleman Heat 'N Serve Portable Cooker to use Tailgating at college football games. It works great. I plan on buying another one next year. Very pleased with heating qualities. You could actually cook in it(Stews, Soups, Etc.). I highly recommend for camping or parties also.

This propane powered cooker can be useful for tailgating and camping as long as you don't expect it to be a slow cooker. Even on the low setting the chili we brought to heat up started to burn within 10 minutes. I just happened to notice smoke coming out from under the lid! Needless to say we skipped our chips and dip appetizer because the chili required constant stirring to prevent further burning.

Now that I know that it is just a gas powered cook pot I can plan tailgate meals accordingly. The fact that it heats quickly can be an asset as long as you are expecting it. It cleaned up perfectly once we got it home. All I used was a little Barkeepers Friend cleanser and a no scratch scrub pad. It looks brand new so burning something does not ruin the interior.
