Great binoculars. Work extremely well for bird watching. Fast focus and good close up viewing. I especilly enjoy the roll up and down eye cups. I wear glasses and keep them rolled down. My daughter does not wear glasses and always picks my binoculars up first because of the ease of adjustment,hence it's easy for me to put them back down.

These binoculars are lightweight and easy to use. They worked perfectly for our cruise and land tour to Alaska. The ability to have a good depth of field is crucial to quickly locating far away animals such as whales and bears! The 8X magnification worked well on the ship, but my brother had 10X and they seemed to work fine and you can see things a little closer. His depth of field was only 35, though, and I did notice a big difference in trying to locate a bear or sheep that was far away. I originally ordered the Bushnell 7x50 binoculars, but sent them back because they were larger and heavier than I expected them to be. I wanted something easier to carry around our neck all day and something that wouldn't weight down our suitcase so much. All in all, I recommend these binoculars for quality, price and size.

Thse binoculars offer a wide field of view which is an advantage when birding. Close focus is also very useful. Case and strap are nothing to rave about but the binocular's quality of construction and ease of focus were very good.

They are a bit too heavy for the field. Also, not crystal clear to my eyes. Next time, i'd go for a smaller size. Someone said if they're not small, you won't take them with you. I agree. Also , figure on buying a neck strap, this one broke right away.

The image is clear, bright and sharp. These are very lightweight binoculars. My only minor complaint is the lens covers that could get lost. I keep these binocs in my car for those delightful emergency animals and distant views. For the price they are unbeatable.

Lives up to my expectation of quality build. We use for kayaking and hiking. Sadly, by our 2nd use, we already lost one of the 2 end caps, which were just too loose. I also swapped the provided strap with a cross-type strap by Allen.

So far they seem to be quite nice. Clear and bright. We do not have a great deal of experience with binoculars so we really do not have much to compare them with. What we have done though is take these moderately priced glasses and had them precision collimated. The optical repair company we use, Advance Optical and Instruments in San Antonio, suggested Barska as a reasonably priced binocular. They seem to be making "pretty reasonable glass". Others with much more experience have said that precision collimating is helpful because factory tolerances for most binoculars leaves something to be desired. Seems worthwhile.
