The item itself is wonderful..our cat loves it and uses it inventively. The only problem was it took three tries to finally get a complete set. The first delivery was one of two boxes; the second was minus screw etc for assembly. the third was complete. Also easy to assemble. I'm glad I ordered it.

First off, I ordered through Petco.com and 1/2 of my issues are through them. The other 1/2 are with the quality of this item. If you are certain you want to buy this item, don't buy it through Petco.com. They are a third party seller. Your order takes longer and if you have issues with your item, replacements take longer too.

Now, regarding the actual cat condo...

This cat condo is beautiful and my two cats love it. Especially the hammock and bed at the very top.

BUT buyer beware. The "cat cave" is supported with small blocks along the inside that are nail down. These blocks are all covered with the same faux fur carpeting as the rest of the condo so you can't see how cheap and fibrous the blocks are. What do you think happens when you have a small cheap piece of wood and bang several nails through it? It cracks! That's what happened to ours. The covering was not on well, and a block broke in half revealing three very sharp nails sticking out for kitty paws and eyes to get poked. Petco is helping to replace the part, but is doing nothing to expedite the process. Thanks for not being concerned Petco.com.

Warning number two. This item ships from the manufacturer, not Petco. That means that when your order is 7 business days past the promised 5-7 business day shipping window, Petco can't do much to help. I received an email from Petco stating the my order had shipped along with a tracking number on the 7th business day. But the tracking information stated that a label was created but my item had not be sent to UPS to be shipped yet. And that status remained for nearly a week. It finally actually shipped 12 business days after I placed my order. So the 5-7 business days promised by Petco.com is hogwash.Read more ›

Item has gone up in price $30 since we ordered it and it is still a good buy! Came all together in two boxes. Weighs 99 pounds but I (64 y.o.) woman was able to pull from front porch into house. Cannot be hidden from view when delivered so keep that in mind depending on your neighborhood.

Would not have bought it for $329 as unable to be sure of quality for such high price. Amazon prime assures us a a return on such an item so it'w worth the risk.

Base is very steady....was worried about that as it has much on top. Our older lower cat playground almost tipped many times with just a 10 lb. cat jumping on it. One of our cats started clawing the sisal post as it was being put together. The smaller cat will take time to warm up to it. She had the old one for 6 years.

I have never seen one of this quality in any pet store....even for a higher price than we paid....$ 161.00. All were unstable but this base is large and the playground well balanced. We have two cats but this could probably accommodate up to 5 cats in a household.

I also like that all the posts have sisal covering which holds up much better than carpet covered posts.

Directions are not good and incomplete but my husband was able to put together in about an hour by looking at photo. Without
amazon prime this item would not have been purchased due to cost and weight.

Very sturdy. Easily assembled. Cats use it.

When our latest (previously ferile) cat started scratching the pedestal base of our dining room table, we decided we had to spend some money to get a decent 'cat tree'. She is just 8 lbs.; however, our senior cat is 17 lbs. So, wanted something which could accommodate both. The top perch, and the 'house' have plenty of room for -- even -- a larger cat. And, 'junior' just loves the hammock. And, they are scratching on the poles. At $161, this was a good buy for us.
