These TAIYO-YUDEN/JVC bundled discs are identical to the discs marked with just the name TAIYO-YUDEN.

I have used several bundles of the TAIYO-YUDEN discs and have not experienced a single "dead disc".

Excellent quality - much better than any of the another brands of discs currently being made in China (to include discs labeled as Made in Hong Kong).

Just because the name is Sony, Maxwell, HP or whatever... look for the country of origin and if it is China, it's not the same exacting quality as TAIYO-YUDEN made in Japan.

Taiyo Yuden is the best DVD+R EVER! Archive quality DVD's. It doesn't matter who brands them (this is branded by JVC) as long as Taiyo Yuden makes them. This DVD is still made in Japan where things like this are done right (unlike China... but their quality is getting better... look out China, Africa might undercut your price as the new China).

These are guaranteed for 100 years, if properly stored, and are used by professionals that don't want to lose 20 years of work! They are what I give my models.....

There are far less expensive DVDs available, but I purchased these to archive family photos and movies transferred to DVD. This format, after doing some research, are designed to last longer than typical DVDs. For files that are important such as family photos, legal documents, etc. the theory is that these will stay preserved longer.

These disks are the real deal as far as I can tell by checking the numbers and tags. I've heard there are a lot of fakes of this brand being sold because they are so good. They work great in my Toshiba dvr, I have used about 20 so far and not one failure in recording and have played back in two different machines with no problems. I have been using Verbatim but I like these better. They cost a little more but I think they are worth it. Will buy more when needed.

I bought these DVD's after reading and studying reviews on them. They have exceeded my expectations. I have consumed almost 200 and will be ordering another pack of 100 shortly. The only negative (an it's a small one) is that both sides look almost the same. That is not a problem for me though as I write on the front with a ball point pen. After that, it's no problem. At 35¢ each, I would not consider any other brand of DVD.

T-Y media is the best you can buy to my knowledge. Out of 200 previously purchased, I had one failure and that was due to me having scratched it.

I can't remember the last time I had a Taiyo Yuden DVD fail to burn correctly. Even though my burning program says the DVDs can be used to record at 16x I don't take any chances and record at 8X. Also, during the burning process, I close down the programs running in the Right-side task bar just to make sure there is no conflict of resources.
