These things are made of steel and are cleanly machined. They are heavy. No problems installing them, and they should last forever.

Mediums are high enough for my 50mm scope on a Winchester 70, with room for a Scopecoat.

These go quite well with the Warne picatinny mounts, as you can imagine. The biggest criticism that I saw in the reviews was the difficulty in getting the scope in the rings because of the vertical split. I didn't think that this was much of a problem, and I have a tip that might help others. if you put the rings on your scope before mounting them to the mounts, this makes things much easier. Just *barely* thread the screws so that you have enough "play" in the bottom part to get it over the mount. Then you can just tighten the screws and your scope is securely mounted.

I'm a gunsmith and I had a client going on safari and wanted a new scope mounted and his gun sighted in. Knowing the handling that this gun would be subjected to, I decided on Warne rings and mounts. You don't slap 20 dollar rings on a two thousand dollar heavy recoiling rig. My client returned from safari bagging 11 animals, with no incidents whatsoever with his optics shifting. "Nuff said!

Paired these with a Burris 2-7x Predator Quest on a Ruger American Predator 223. These IMO are the best rings on the market for the money. Fit and finish are superb and they look great on the rifle. These are my new favorite ring mounts! Highly recommended!

I bought these because of the design/engineering. Only the two parts bolt together, unlike traditional mounts where there are two parts screwed together to wrap around the scope and another set of screws to attach to the weapon plate. I didn't realize these scope mounts have a metal tab within the attachment grips that will not allow them to move once attached. This metal tab seats against the groove in your gun's mounting plate and settles into place with recoil. This is a great benefit when mounting a handgun scope to a 243 Winchester handgun.

When it comes to quality scope rings at an affordable price, you are not going to find a brand that can beat Warne. You can easily spend three times what a Warne scope ring costs to get the same quality. Once I mount a scope on a rifle using one of these scope rings, I don't ever have to worry about losing the zero of that rifle. The only down side is it is permanent.

Arrived quickly and as described. Purchased with Warne mounts and torque wrench and install was fast, simple and fit perfectly. Mounted Vortex scope on Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .223. Very happy with entire setup and although light recoil I see this great for most calibers. Some might find putting rings on scope first might be easier. I would definitely recommend and would purchase again.

I purchased these rings (and bases..) to mount on a moderately heavy recoiling Weatherby Vanguard. My original intent was to mount the scope with Weaver Quad Lock rings on Redfield bases. I changed my mind and decided to go with the Warne all-steel mounts instead.

At first glance, and without doing any research, these mounts are not the easiest to use. Because of the vertical orientation of the split ring, it takes a little more time and effort to install these mounts correctly. That is not to say that it is particularly difficult, just different. For someone who has installed scopes previously in standard design mounts (horizontally split rings..) it takes a little thought to get it right. If you take the time to lightly attach the rings to the scope before mounting to the bases, it all comes together much easier.

These rings are machined and finished beautifully. The mating surfaces are smooth and offer plenty of surface area to hold the scope without slipping. The crossbars are machined to tolerance and fit closely into the Warne bases (a good reason to purchase the bases along with the rings..). I have used these mounts previously and have NEVER had a scope shoot loose up to .416 and .458. Properly installed these mounts are bulletproof. One item worth noting is the weight. These mounts are relatively heavy. You would not want to install these on a lightweight mountain rifle...probably. Where these mounts really show their value is on large, heavy recoiling rifles. And on those rifles, weight is not typically an issue.

I currently have these mounts on two rifles. One is a custom .378 Wby that can really hurt you with recoil. The other is this Vanguard in .300 Wby. I wanted the extra margin of strength that is present in this mount and the result is rock solid. I don't think you can find a better quality mount even though it does take a little more effort to install correctly.
