Exactly what I was looking for! After a coworker brought back these treats from her trip to Amsterdam, I was determined to find some to give in holiday gift baskets. I knew I could count on Amazon to have vendors that imported these gooey little cookie "cup covers." Of course, I saved some for my family, and they were awesome. I was also very impressed with the quick vendor shipping & careful packaging - not one was broken.

Product description says the shelf life is about a month, but just received some from PenguinMints and the "Best By" date code on each package was "03-20-00". The cookies were a little broken up and some paint was scratched off the inside of the package like they've been around the block a few times. Another reviewer mentioned they were stale, but >13 years old would be ridiculous. They also didn't include the blue tins pictured in the product photos.

The ones we had in Amsterdam were great, but these ones might be a little stale.

Found some fresh ones locally at Aldi.

I first feel in love with these when I visited Holland. Trader Joe's has a smaller version but I like the bigger ones best. If you put it on top of a cup of tea the center gets all gooey and delicious. It is very hard for me to eat just one of these. I recommend them to EVERYONE!!!

Do not order! Both packs of ten had expired in the year 2000! Before I realized they had expired I ate one and I feel sick to my stomach. I am very disappointed because I love stroopwafels.

I discovered Stroopwafels on one of my visits to Amsterdam and fell in love with them. It's been 6 years since I've been there and I haven't had once since. At least until today when my shipment of these Stroopwafels came. They are as delicious as I remember them being in Amsterdam. Place one on top a hot cup of tea for a few minutes and you're going to be in for a real treat.

I can honestly say these are indeed authentic. Grab em while you can!

I use these as an energy snack for cycling. For a heartier snack I take two of them and "glue" them together with Nutella, peanut butter, or Biscoff Spread and then put them in a baggie and stuff it in my jersey pocket. All those combinations are delicious although I think the one with Biscoff is my favorite. Of course the waffle is very good on its own too. They're like Honey Stinger waffles but cheaper.

I almost feel bad about knocking an online product for not being a fresh from bakery product, but it it something I can't help but notice in the back of my head. I have shared these people people who have never had fresh and like them, but either way, they are very good. No idea why I can't find these delicious bits of awesome in the states, but alas, here they are.

I have tried different kinds of Dutch caramel waffles - all bought from Amazon. I have to say that this one is the absolute worst of all. The waffles were stale and very poor quality. If you try to break a piece of waffle in half, it completely crumbles in your hand. It tastes pretty bad too - all you can taste is sugar, and barely any caramel or butter. I was very disappointed. The packaging says that the best before date is: 34-14-00. Whatever that means. I will never buy this brand or from this seller again.
