These are my all time favorite sour candy. The consistancy of this candy is much like sweet tarts candy. I LOVE sour candy, but I am constantly let down by war heads or other "sour" candies. I usually spit other candies out when it gets to the sweet part. I was wanting a candy that is sour the entire time. Not having some wimpy break and have a sweet middle. This candy was my answer. Sour the entire time :D However, I do have a warning. It makes your mouth hurt if you eat too much. Its citric acid for crying out loud.

Cry Baby Tears are THE best sour candy of all time, and my favorite candy, ever. They're hard to find (though they used to be everywhere in my childhood. What makes them so great is that they're super tart (not as sour as Warheads-style candies, but waaay more sour than Sour Patch Kids)--but you can eat a ton before your tongue gets that painful acid burn (I can only eat 3 Warheads before I feel the burn, for ex). Their texture is sort of chalky, kind of like original SweeTarts, but way, way, way more sour. & not too strong of a chemical taste, like Warheads. They're just perfectly sour! Love em.

The way I eat them, I like to suck on them for a few seconds (10-30), and them bite them, which makes the sour taste explode all over my tongue! (wait—did I mention I'm preggo? This is how I dream about food now—I imagine exactly just how I will eat it. haha). Anyway, if you like sour candy, do yourself a favor and buy these!

Cry Baby Tears can be hard to find at times and I'm surprised when I find them. When I do find them it can be off the beaten path and therefore can be quite expensive. You usually can't beat the price form Candy Wholesale including any shipping you pay. I love this candy and have a sour candy addiction. Must buy if you love sour candy.

Not as sour as I remembered as a kid (my sourness level might have changed by then). This is barely stronger than those sweet tarts. The texture and flavors are the same as Smarties candy. It is more tart than sour. If you expect the warheads extreme sour flavor throughout the candy be prepared to be highly disappointed. Even the old discontinued Altoids tangerine sours were stronger than this. You have to eat a couple of these at a time or one after another before it even resembles it in sourness level.

I have been ordering Cry Baby Tears in (24 Count) for several years. A year or so ago I had a problem with there only being 3 flavors instead of 5 flavors in each box. This has, unfortunately happened again. I like the grape flavor very much and find that there is usually 1 -3 grape and reduced number of cherry. Numerous GREEN (what flavor is this supposed to be... it is NOT on the side of the box!) and yellow and a few orange. Is there someone at the factory that is hoarding the grape?
I complained to Concord Brands, a division of Tootsie Roll (www. tootsie.com) when this happened the first time and the increase in the grape and cherry flavors was rapid and a great improvement.
Not that this problem has returned, I will not be ordering again until this problem is fixed. I have even taken photos of the discrepancy in flavors in order to prove my point. I plan for send these photos to Concord Brands.
