Editorial Reviews

Product Description

This unique DVD features three feature films from the 1940s, each one showing a different angle of psychological testing on both adults and children. Over 100+ minutes of rare human psychology films! Table Of Contents: (1) Growth Study of Johnny and Jimmy (1940) - This 39 minute film documents the changing physical and psychological development in two babies. Watching the two people change over time is interesting, as differences in motor skills, metal development and personality become visible quite soon - 21 Minutes (2) Judging Emotional Behavior (1940) - Watch this interesting study of human behavior when two people are told a story and their reactions to the story are taped. Just the reactions are shown and then the reactions are replayed with the story audible. How did your perception of their reactions change after hearing the story? - 23 Minutes (3) Experimental Studies in the Social Climates of Groups (1940) - Three groups of children are formed into groups with each group assigned an adult leader with an authoritarian, hands-off or democratic style of leading. Each group of kids responds much differently to each new type of leader, showing us the important influence of leaders in social behavior - 41 Minutes

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Org Behavior Video, December 19, 2007
By Nom de Gruyere (Thibodaux, La) - See all my reviews
If you are studying or are a student of Organizational Behavior, the films of these experiments are a must see. Until there is a film of Milgram or of the Stanford experiments (See 'The Human Behavior Experiments") then this is the real deal.

Maybe this film has some value to someone studying child psych. The old black and white film is neat. I became bored with it and shut it off.
