All I can say is, BUY THIS NOW. I have now used this transmission fluid in two different Miatas, a 1993 NA and 2006 NC. 2 quarts is all you need and it is worth every cent. I noticed dramatic improvements with cold shifts and overall smoothness of syncros. New or old, your transmission will feel 10X better than before. Cannot recommend this enough. Read the reviews on Miata sites and forums, you'll see the same level of enthusiasm for this XT-M5-QS.

I had the transmission fluid in my RX-8 changed at a local garage. They replaced the fluid with regular GL-5 lube which caused hard shifts and grinding of gears (especially when shifting into 2nd gear). I dumped that out and replaced it with this and my transmission is back to being a smooth shifter! If you're thinking of getting this for your RX-8's transmission, just stop thinking and get it!

What can I say, its great stuff, my Mazda RX8 gen1 really loves this stuff in the manual transmission. If you have a Asin 6 speed in your car, like the Honda S200 or Mazda RX8 this is the trans lube that you have been looking for. That crunchy 1st to 2nd shift will be completely gone with in 100 miles.

This product is what Ford recommends to many of their manual transmissions. I use it in my BOSS302 as directed in the maintenance schedule for track use. My first purchase came in as pictured. However, my second purchase came in with a new updated (plain) label that threw me for a look. I researched it and it seems Ford has changed their formulation in the past 6-12 months and at the same time the label changed. You can see this by reading the back of the bottle as they list the year of the revision of the fluid there. Overall, a great fluid even with the expense.

Purchased 3 quarts from local Ford dealership to replace Redline MT90 transmission fluid that I had in my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 for the last 1200 miles. Although Redline was recommended on some online forums, it did not work well for me when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear until the car was warmed up. If the temperature where you live is always above 50 degrees Redline would probably be fine in this vehicle. Anyway, the Ford XT-M5-QS fluid has solved my problem. All shifts feel buttery smooth and the car is a pleasure to drive again.

Bought a 2Gen RX8 last fall that had a slight crunch going into 5th and 6th. Changed out the trans fluid for the proper GL-4 Amsoil and the crunch was still there for the most part. Swapped the Ford XT-M5-QS in this weekend, and after 5 miles of circulating the fluid in the tranny, 5th and 6th no longer grind. As a bonus, I can now shift into 1st gear while still decelerating. Before, I would have to come to a complete stop before the tranny allowing me to get back into 1st. This is what a tranny is SUPPOSED to feel like.
