This product pales in comparison to regular RainX. I put regular full strength Rainx on my car and my glass shower door. On the shower door it keeps the door spot and soap scum free for almost 30 showers. On the car it lasts for several rainy days. I bought this cleaner + rainx product at Target because the regular rainx was not in stock. On the shower door it lasted about 2 showers and on my car windshield it didn't do anything. Which is to say that it is just marginally better than using nothing at all.

All it does is clean the glass and leave streaks. As far as rain repellant goes, I live in a desert and for some reason after applying the stuff my windows manage to collect all the moisture in the air and create a wonderful fog that I cannot see out of. I'm just going to toss this stuff and get the real Rainx...

After using the original Rain-x treatment for years, I thought using this product would save a bit of time with the glass cleaner additive. Turns out the company needs to go back to the drawing board on this one.

I didn't get the film on my windshield other reviewers complained about, but did notice the rain wasn't well repelled compared to the original treatment. Went back to using the original and I can see clearly in rainy weather again.

I bought this product in the hopes that it would solve two problems in one: clean my windows and help me with visibility in the rain.

Initially, I was quite happy with the product. It cut through the mild dirt and grime on my windows with ease and I didn't have to use too much elbow grease to get all of the residue off. Thrilled as I was, I recommended the product to my family.

I was quickly disappointed, however, when the first rain storm hit. As the beads of rain splatted the windshield, I found myself wondering if I was hoping for too much from the repellent part of the product. Once I turned on my windshield wiper blades I was stuck wondering if they had always left awful vision-hampering white streaks following the blades. Thinking it was a fluke, I cleaned my wiper blades and cleaned off my windows with just water. The same thing occurred when I went to use my window wiper fluid.

A month later and a few other products used on my window, the vision-impairing trails have finally left my windshield. I apologized profusely to my mother, whose windshield I eagerly cleaned using the product before I truly understood its unfortunate attributes. Even though it helped me initially with the cleaning of the windows, the visibility in the rain part was where it had its downfall. I would never, ever recommend this product to anyone unless you are trying to help them not see the road and get into an accident.

very hard to wipe off, wants to leave streaks & smears,
expected better from rain-x, will not buy again, does not do
much to repel rain like rain-x window treatment which is a very good product!

I was hoping to find 2 good products in one.
Instead, I got an ok glass cleaner but the water repellent quality is much diminished
compared with the original RainX product.

As a glass cleaner, this product leaves a residue.

As a rain repellent, I'd give it a 2 out of 10.

Don't bother.

Stick to Windex and original rain-x.

I regret buying this product. It is supposed to be both a glass cleaner and rain repellant. It does a horrible job both as a cleaner and repellant. As other reviewers mentioned, when it rains, it causes streaks and chattering wipers. The visibility is extremely bad on a rainy night which makes it dangerous.
Moreover, as it is a silicon based product, it's hard to remove once it's applied on the windshield.
I wish I could give this product 0 or negative stars.
