The HKS-6 is a pair of two-way satellite speakers for use in your home theater system. The HKS-6 speakers are identical to the satellites in the Harman Kardon HKTS-15 5.1-Channel Home Theater Speaker System, and are designed to be used with the HKTS-15 in a complete 7.1-channel home theater. However, they are also suitable for upgrading almost any 5.1-channel home theater system to 7.1 channels when used with a 7.1-channel receiver or processor and any necessary additional amplifiers. The HKS-6 adds a surround back channel for the ultimate in cinema-like sound.

The HKS-6 features a two-way design that uses a 3/4-inch metal dome tweeter. The metal dome tweeter is strong but lightweight, allowing it to reproduce high frequencies with detail, accuracy and clarity. The high-performance 3 1/2-inch mid-range driver delivers increased mid-bass response and smooth vocals.

Easy Set Up

Installing the HKS-6 is simple. The system includes a set of colored stickers that may be placed near the speaker terminals of each of the satellite speakers. In addition, the included speaker wires have colored bands at each end to assist you in connecting them correctly.

The HKS-6 may be placed on a shelf, wall-mounted using the included brackets or positioned on optional floor stands that blend into the speakers for a sleek, seamless look. The owner’s manual provides plenty of information on speaker configuration and integration of the HKS-6 into your current home theater system.

I bought a complete HK sound system for my house and it had a set of these speakers. They sounded pretty good for their size. I have a condo in a large city that has limited space so I found a set of these on Amazon.com to go with my old stereo I use in that condo. They are not the best sounding speakers in the world but have respectable sound and look good. Their size is small and they fit almost anywhere.

I bought these speakers to make my HKTS 18 system into a 7.1 system. Great quality sound and the speakers look like the 5.1 set, but the speakers are a little bit shorter.
