Nice cable if you need access to the "other" 12V rail on an ATX power supply.

However, BE CAREFUL: many power supplies these days have quite a number of 4-pin connectors that look like this, and although in theory they are "keyed" so that you can't mix them up, the plastic is soft enough that you can often mash one into the other without much force. Especially given how "tough" those 4-pin molex connectors on pre-SATA hard drives are -- the force it takes to connect those things is more than enough to mis-conncet these connectors.

When connecting this cable, it should slide effortlessly into the connector on your power supply. If you have to exert any amount of force at all, you're probably using the wrong connector -- look carefully and make sure the keying is an exact match.

Not a bad 8" 4 pin cpu power extension but I have seen better. Couldn't dock it any stars for being cheap because I knew that when I bought it. If you need an extension this one will work just fine. If braiding or sleeved extensions don't matter to you, there is no need to look any further just buy this one.

I literally can't even right now. As a fan of cables I have held many cables and this by far is the best 4-pin extension cable I have held. The plastic clips are very plasticish which is a good sign. The yellow cable is very yellow and the black cable... oh man... that black cable is Black! Are you outta your mind!? But here is the best part. It is exactly 8-inches! I've seen cables advertise 8 inches and ended up being 5. I have seen cables advertise 5 inches but end up being 8. But not this one, this one advertises 8 inches and it is 8 inches!

Pros:
-plastic parts are made of plastic
-cables are correctly colored
-pins do pin!

Cons:
-it isn't sleeved
-no "high fidelity extreme performance diamond tipped gold contacts"

I have an extra 4 pin power supply on my R4BE and had an extra cable and slot on my power supply to hook it up. It ran fine with the 8 pin, but felt with all the memory my PC has, I should also hook up the 4 pin. This cable gave me the extra length to do so and was needed due to how big my case is. I was a little worried it might be be too short (I have an HAF X), but ended up being just the right length. Had no problem connecting the cable to my board and to my PSU cable (Seasonic). The Seasonic cable splits in 2, so only used half of it to plug into this cable.

Looks just like the cable that came with my HAF X, except its a bit shorter and is 4 pin instead of 8. So fits right in with it. Great buy.
