I purchased this product to use in conjunction with dew-point charts. The buttons operate easily and the pen gathers the temperature and relative humidity quickly, although I've questioned the results more than once. The body is durable but the sensor in the tip of my pen is loose and contacts the sides--which may not be typical. The little replaceable watch battery only lasted about five months with hardly any use. Despite the weaker aspects, I think the tool works fine for gathering information in which a larger degree of error is tolerable.

The measurement functions seem to work fine, but the mechanical design is poor. The pocket clip is very weak; it won't reliably stay in your pocket. Also the battery cover comes off too easily and will get lost (especially because it's green.)
It would be better if the case was waterproof, too.

As a Mechanical Engineer working in the HVAC industry, I am constantly trying to analyze performance of system. Part of this analysis is to measure temperatures and humidity in areas. This little pocket temp/humidity pen is the perfect tool. It's accurate and quick. The price was good also.

I recommend this to anyone who needs an inexpensive tool to measure room temperature and relative humidity.

Very poor quality and workmanship. Unreliable and inaccurate readings for commercial applications. Reflects varying temperatures in same room. Hard to establish a baseline as well. Had to return. Two stars, because I expect for non-commercial settings this would work okay.

Needed a temperature/humidity meter that I could use with my moisture meter for initial site assessments after water damage. Bought this one because it was cheap and readily available. My two issues with it: 1) it turns on (and stays on) while in the case because the buttons are really sensitive, so sometimes it is out of batteries when I have hardly used it; 2) the clip in the back snaps off pretty much the first time you try and clip it to anything. But it does what it needs to and works as anticipated. I just have to keep extra batteries in the case.

This instrument is wildly variable and inaccurate, and extremely slow to respond. If you don't mind waiting 4-5 minutes for the temperature readout to stabilize, and readings that are off in some cases by at least 10 degrees F, then this is a hell of a bargain. If you value accuracy and rapid response, look elsewhere.
