This pipe is SOLID, meaning it doesn't have holes. Also saw these come in perforated and perforated with a sock if you're doing a french drain! very cool.

Solid drain pipe like this is used for diverting water from one place to another. Most commonly moving water from a rain gutter spout away from your house so that the water doesn't erode your foundation.

For anyone that has done this type of job, ADS-pipe is very common in the industry for years because huge commercial companies use it. Its always been a pain in the butt to work with because its hard to bend and work with.
Flex-Drain pipe makes is basically just easier to work with and takes up less space. Nothing revolutionary. What sold me was the videos on their website flex-drain.com... Hopefully somehow they move them over here to amazon because they have installation videos and such. They've also got connectors like these to make projects quicker:

It is difficult to "LOVE" a drain pipe!! But, this great and very flexible drain pipe has "fixed" a terrible soaking problem caused by the gutter down drains. The rain gutters just dumped onto the grass and the water really had no where to go. Just puddled there and made a real mess.Now, with the use of 2 rain barrels and the drain pipe attached to gutter down spout..the water runs into a pond and the grass is no longer underwater. I can only hope that neighbors see how easily and inexpensive this problem can be "fixed"!! No more squishing around the lawn and I can take the pontoons off of the lawnmower!!!!!

This works perfectly for the side of my house where I'd needed a 12' rainwater diverter. I'd previously bought the perforated version but discovered it dumped most of the water within a couple feet of the downspout (due to a low spot in the landscaping) so purchased this solid one to replace it. The Flex-A-Spout made by the same company, is a shorter version of the Flex-Drain and I use that on the other side where six feet is adequate. All these products are well made and should last for years.

So far these Flex-Drain drain pipes are holding up very well. We accidentally drove a vehicle over one in our driveway and it did not split the pipe. Overall I am very pleased with these pipes and will be purchasing more to divert the water even farther away from our foundation.

We bought a farm house in a very wet area of Sonoma County last summer and we wanted to keep water away from our house foundation. Our downspouts were pouring out right next to the house. When we had our gutters cleaned and repaired, the contractor suggest we find these online since they are far less expensive than he would be able to sell for. We ordered 8 of them - one for each downspout. So far we have had 4 huge rain storms and 19 inches of rain - they work very well and have kept the area around our house much drier. Very easy to install and they stay on without having to screw in.

The drain pipe was a little difficult to stretch out to its entire length, but I am a 65 year old grandma and I could do it with a little effort. There are two problems for me... I did buy the adapter and it seemed really like a tight fit on the downspout, but during the wind and rain last night, it came off. The other problem involves the pipe itself, it is hard for me to manipulate it so it will slant down all the way to the end. We do get freezing temperatures and snow and I'm afraid the water that collects inside will freeze and cause problems. I gave it 3 stars because I still hope to work out some things, but it is clumsy for me to work with and don't know if it is going to be worth it.

Water no longer backs into the garage. We have one corner of the garage where a drain pipe is and when it rains it comes in. I got this just in time before a big storm and it saved us a big mess. Very easy to set up and angle. Highly recommended!

I did not bury it, I simply hooked it to the gutter extension and then hooked it to the gutter and voila! We have not had any leaks from the pipe and the extension. Hooking to the drain pipe fits snugly onto the gutter. Absolutely perfect and quick and easy.

Would have given better reviews but unfortunately this product is made to be used uncut and only with their couplers. I assumed I could price sections together to make my drainage work using their ID couplers but to my surprise the couplers will not work with their T's and Y's. Also will not work on their downspout adapters. Also yo cannot cut sections of pipe and use them. Once cut they are trash. If you plan your project knowing this you could obtain a decent end result. I will just use the products sold at my local retailer from now on. They are cross compatible with regular 4" corrugated systems and Flex Drain unfortunately isn't.
